Official 2016 Coaching Carousel Thread - How safe is Kevin Sumlin´s job?

Looks like Muschamp is getting the South Carolina job. Too bad, I was hoping to see a little chaos in the Pac 12 with a Rodriguez move.

Looks like USC is the only HC turnover in the Pac 12 this year unless Mora takes an NFL job or Anderson takes the BYU job.

Muschamp is like an NFL coach. sucking at one job doesn't matter, you get a couple chances no matter what?

i suppose the "incestuous" SEC joke is too easy.

i have a 2nd cousin named Evangeline and she is smoking hot. still....i ain't hiring RRod or Will Muschamp or any other lame retread. Muschamp is one year away from sucking.

Heck, Muschamp sucked as Auburn's DC this year.

Bill Belicheck. The hope is they eventually figure it out.

Anyone else surprised that Brent Venables isn't a name that comes up in any of these searches? Did a great job as DC at Oklahoma for over a decade and lately has been great as DC at Clemson for the past 4 years. Used to be a hot name but now there's no noise for him.

K-State

Damn it...so Rich Rod turned South Carolina down apparently? How many coaches have turned them down at this point, it's getting embarrassing for them.

There's always the SEC's Swiss Army knife Will Muschamp to the rescue

He's old. It's not a valid reason to pass over a great coach, but that's the way it happens in the big bad world. It's why the lambs got Lubick, it's why no one but K-State would give the crypt keeper a chance, and it's why Stitt will never get a shot at a 1st tier P5 school, as he'll be "too old" before he's "earned" the chance.

This is why I seriously question any coach turning down the opportunity to move up to a P5 gig, no matter how "lowly." Those opportunities rarely come around a second time; strike while the iron is hot, or else risk becoming a saint at an ag school like csewe.

??? Pretty sure Venables is only like 45.

What's wrong with S. Car.? They are striking out left and right.

EDIT: looks like they are going to go with Muschamp.

So the already weak SEC East has gone from Spurrier, Richt and Pinkel to Muschamp, Smart and Odom. That´s a problem.

Venables apparently laid pipe to a big K-State booster's daughter way back when, so a lot of their fans think he'd never be allowed back.

It's amazing to see how many coaches get in trouble because they can't keep their cock in their pants around the family members of boosters.

He's generally regarded as a very good coach, but a PITA and A88hole personally, in the Gene Chizik mold.

Why would rich rod publicly pursue the USC job and then turn it down?
Got to think that is going to hurt recruiting and not just for this year.
