Official 2018 Fall Camp Thread

Hope this isn't serious.
Yes. So we don't end up like last year...which I think everyone can recall, turned out poorly with our "#blackoutboyz".

I'm disappointed in Chev too. The blackoutboyz were very inconsistent, dropping wide open passes etc. The whole team seemed to lack focus all year, with the exception of the Cal game.
Those fools were too busy posing for pictures acting like wanna be thugs. Only Jack Kroll can save CU football now.

Prove something first. Then act like a fool.

"the starting 5 on the offensive line seems pretty clear". I agree the C and right side is clear, but I was hoping there would be some competition on the left side between Kaiser, Kutsch, Morreti and Tonz/Sherman.
Tonz and Sherman are definitely rotating, or atleast they were on Saturday.

I suspect they are going to be very, very careful with Moretti. I’m not sure he starts until conference play, and maybe not them.

While others will disagree, I saw him three times last spring and didn’t think he was readying all, including running with 1s in the Speing Showcase which, I’ll say again, was more for show. He’s made great progress, but nerve damage is tough.

I look forward to seeing him Saturday.

I think they may be bringing him along slowly, but he needs to be ready by conference play or else Kaiser has to stay completely healthy just to hold the line together. No bueno.

Really? I like hearing the players' thoughts on teammates. I think it's great insight into the different personalities on the team. Different strokes, I guess.
Landman is going to go down as an all-timer for the Buffs. Obviously has everything you want in an ILB from a physical standpoint, but has the mentality and competitiveness that's essential as well. I'd be willing to bet he's voted a Captain at least once before his career here is done.

Also love hearing the good things about JMac. Not that he hasn't proven most people wrong already, but it's extra sweet to see him get so much praise from his teammates as a voted Captain, but as one of the most competitive.

Not only is the staff bringing him along slowly, he himself is also very cautious in drills. I watched him pretty closely at the open practice and he did nothing at anything close to full speed. He’s just not ready. Sadly, I think it’s doubtful he sees much of the field at all this season. Hope I’m wrong.

That is rough to hear. Depth chart at OT is a mess.

I didn’t want to be that blunt. But I agree at this point.

Only way he'll start trusting it too is reps. It'll take time but hopefully it'll happen quicker than we might think.

Its been 2 years since injury. I think it gonna happen for Moretti

Strange since he looked quite good in the spring.
I have to agree and disagree here.

1. He’s a monster. Looks the part.
2. Strong upper half, big foundation.
3. Engages well. Initial contact is powerful. Hands are big, strong.
4. Has, in my opinion, tough time staying with block as defender tries to disengage.
5. That’s when he should be driving from the toes.
6. Rather, he is off balance. Actually fell twice when I was watching.
7. Nerve damage is a tough go, especially if he has symptoms of drop foot, which could possibly be affecting his ability to stay engaged with proper balance driving from his toes.

“Starting” with the 1s at the Speinh Showcase was for show in my opinion.

I hope he makes it. I’m cautious.

Let’s see what happens tomorrow.
