Official 2023 Bowl Games Thread

You don’t understand the difference in each individual member selecting their Top 6 and the Committee selecting the Final Four. You proved that in the other thread. No need to play here.
And you don't understand the difference between a standardized process and a member using whatever ****ing criteria you want to justify your preference, as you demonstrated in the other thread.

Also, you don't seem particularly curious why this seems to be the first year that the committee demonstrated an interest in pursuing the protocol. At least, that's how I understood the discussion.

You are still conflating the two different processes.

As a traditionalist, I hate how they've spread all the bowl games out. I would love to have the Sugar Bowl to turn to when the Orange Bowl turns to ****.

Also, the Orange Bowl halftime show always sucks and is a waste of time.

This. New Year's Day used to be ****ing awesome. Roll out bed, walk/stumble to the couch depending on how the previous night went, and just watch great football all day.

Now it's going to be kinda lame.

Are both processes part of selecting the final four teams? If so, they are the same process.
Like you said, you don’t really understand the process, nor why both are essential, and different. But keep arguing at the edges.

I don't understand how it works, and I've never looked into it. All I've seen are your inconsistent arguments, and that's all I'm responding to.

You lie again (Hank).

I have been clear - - and condustent - - about the two processes, the data and the criteria.

You just can’t keep up.

Are both "processes" part of selecting the final four teams? If so, they are the actually just parts of the same process.
As long as you have a committee sitting down and deciding who gets in there are going to be arguments. They can publish processes, publish criteria, pretend as much as you want that it is purely objective but in the end it's going to be a judgement call.

When they go to 12 they again can have their criteria with conference champs then the next seven and you are going to get people arguing. If the bracket is 12 teams the argument is going to be teams 13 and 14 were better than 11 and 12.

Then we end up with the arguments about seeding in the bracket, who gets the byes, who gets the "good" match-ups vs. who has a tougher route to the championship.

I enjoy watching the games but personally I preferred it the way it was.

And @Duff Man isn't just speaking from bias. Georgia is a better team than Bama and arguably the best team in the country.

Florida State was a very good team this year before the injuries but I have no doubt that both teams healthy Georgia would put a beating on them. Not this kind of beating but we are talking at least 3 scores.

So we have the #1 seed (Michigan) favored by 2 points over the #4 seed (Alabama). Meanwhile, the #3 seed (Texas) is favored by 4 points over the #2 seed (Washington).

But Duff is right and all the people betting on the games are clearly wrong.
What were the spreads in the Pac 12 and SEC CCGs?

I think the funniest part of all this is that Kirby Smart and Georgia obviously didn't the last few weeks thinking about how no one was talking about them anymore and decided to punish FSU for it.

I honestly am surprised that in all the history of bowl games, this is the first 60 point win, but I'm not surprised that it was Georgia who did it.
