Official 2025 Fall Camp Thread

I'm bullish about the defense this year and believe it'll be among the top 5 or so in the Big 12. I'm worried about depth at ILB, but past that, this defense will be legit. I also think O Miller can be an All-American if he can stay healthy and plays to his potential. I am not sure CU has had a WR of his caliber since Viska (size, speed combo).
What is it driving that prediction given his inconsistent past production?

First, the cheapest tickets are $60, and yes, that's pricey by my standards.

But it always gets me when articles like this compare "total cost" with parking, concession, etc...

I'll walk a mile each way to park without spending a fortune (even if it means dropping off the wife near the venue first and picking her up after). Also, CO law requires any venue that sells alcohol to provide free water.

I mean, when he gets thrown the ball it’s pretty obvious.

Prime mentioned inconsistent play and mental lapses either last year or year before. He has all the tools physically to be an AA. We’ll see if he can put it together.
Well that’s been obvious since his first reception but it’s not even clear to me that he will start. Never been a raw tools issue.

He’s going to start. I think he’s made the most of his opportunities the past two years, but it’s hard to be on the field consistently when you have 5 NFL caliber WRs (Weaver, Horn, Sheppard, Wester and Hunter) ahead of you.

The latest interview of Shriners Shurmer’s on 247 that I just read addresses maturity and his promise. But it definitely sounded as though Shumer was hopeful more than a sure thing.

we had Travis Hunter last year and he won the heisman

Talent and skill are two completely different things. Thought the statement was pretty obvious.

He’s big, strong, runs fast, jumps high, bu he can’t catch, runs bad routes, is a poor blocker, etc
Where have we seen that he can’t do any of those things? A couple well off media clips shouldn’t influence that much of a confident statement

Responding to a clip of him making a great catch, saying that he can’t catch is certainly a take.
I don't see this staff as keeping guys around with "no skill."

Might be accurate to say he isn't as skilled as the guys in front of him or to say that he needs to develop certain skills but if he were "no skill" he wouldn't be there.

It has absolutely nothing to do with that clip and everything to do with what he’s shown in practice and games at FSU.

There’s a reason he’s here. Hopefully we can coach him.

🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ There’s a reason he barely played at FSU…Jesus Christ!
He played on a 13-0 team his freshman year, albeit limited, and then played more on last years team that was entirely inept. He was slated to start this upcoming year for them. Coming to any conclusions on a guy in those circumstances is dumb and you don’t really have anything to base it on. Just a weird take

Also…
There’s very good reason to trust the talent evaluations of Prime and his staff of NFL players and coaches more than some guy spouting off on a message board about “no skill.” I don’t get the desire to impugn new players we haven’t even seen on the field yet.
