Official Arizona Pregame/Game Thread

Late to the thread, but here goes:

this offense is still pure garbage. At one point we were up 20-0 and hadn’t scored a single offensive point (all special teams and defense). Nobody should walk away from this pillow fight thinking we have somehow turned a corner. We haven’t. We beat a dog **** football team today. And while the game was fun to watch, it was entirely unsatisfying.

We kicked two field goals that were generated by the offense

The offense stepped on its dick and had to settle for field goals.

On the other hand, maybe we can finally say that our special teams is better than average.

My biggest takeaway from this game is I saw what Brendan lewis can do with time. He made some beautiful throws and one of them was a dropped TD pass.
Mine's my bet on Arizona under 2.5 wins is definitely hitting now. I think there's potential here with Lewis-but I'm not sure what his deal is. If its as simple as him looking over his shoulder if he throws a pick.......

Unless he communicates by mental telepathy KD wasn't calling the plays today.

Every time I saw him he was standing there stonefaced looking like he was holding in a lunch that hadn't digested well.
Saw that same look on his face two weeks ago.

Lewis played his best game today-looked like he was a lot more confident. Bigger thing with him is this for me-I want him taking chances. If he takes a risk down the field and throws a pick, that's better than him holding the ball too long and taking a sack. Just be decisive-even taking off is fine.

I can speak from experience here that young athletes play better when they know that their job is on the line. It tends to focus them at a time when they generally lack focus
