Official ****braska Hate Thread

One of the narratives on the fusker message boards is it’s…wait for it…the media’s fault. Too much sunshine pumping all week only to have the team suck and then no one expects it apparently.
The self-licking ice cream cone blames itself. Color me shocked that the Nub cult was willfully blind.

The fans are absolutely losing their minds and eating their own young on FuskerBoard after Indiana pushed their sh*t in. They have 5 wins, but fear for no bowl game.
Currently have 20 pages in that thread, all the same thing. This position coach can't develop talent, that position coach was a bad hire, etc. etc.

My preference is that they lose out and we get to see the meltdown aimed at the current savior Rhule.

Not all is bad though if they manage to pull one out against UCLA and get to six wins.

Outside of the playoffs and a few bowls tied to conference champions or runners up most of the bowls are set up to select based on which qualified conference team hasn't already be picked for a bowl they want.

Nebraska has long been known for travelling in large numbers to bowls and spending huge money plus pushing up TV ratings. The fuskers will get selected ahead of a number of other qualified teams and end up facing some team that is far better than they are so their return to bowl games will be marked by a blowout loss. Also expect that with the second half of the season being a string of ugly losses by the time the bowl comes around 1/2 the team will opt out for the portal or to prepare for the draft.

A decent analysis.

Hmm…Perfect Timing….

Now they’re running through the cornfields, backwards

Good news for Nubs. They are leading candidates in the Ol' Roy Moral Victory Bowl. Taking place on some Tuesday after the Super Bowl between two 5-7 teams with the most 4th quarter leads in their 7 losses.
Gotta give them credit though. I've never seen a team that can find more different ways to lose games than the Nubs. It takes a special talent to lose 21-17 to the 4th ranked team after losing 56-7 to the current 13th ranked team. They also managed to lose in OT to the then 24th ranked team after leading three separate times including in the 4th quarter, and did it at home by managing 30 yards of offense in the OT period, negative 30 yards not including the 5 yards lost to penalty to start the drive.

The post game thread on Reddit is delightful.

They all hate their coordinator for calling too many short passes and screens.

Not a single pair of neurons making the connection that Raiola is trash when throwing downfield, so the coordinator is forced to call a bunch of screens.
Whaaa? I thought they would only be glad-handing and back-slapping on being the best 5 win team in the history of CFB~
