Buffs were still trying to figure out their OL combinations during the narrow opening win against NDSU, and didn't perform well. I remember reading some national columnist saying that getting a new OL's sh!t together at a night game in Lincoln against a perceived rising team was not going to be fun. He was correct. It slowly but surely got a lot better.

And now we have young, successfully experienced returners on the OL, which will help to dramatically accelerate the OL growth curve next year….and we’ll certainly need that while trying to field a brand new QB.

I could totally see a big name try and poach Loadholt after this year. We better be ready to keep him.

This sounds like a little thing, but it is significant. Even bad programs don't chalk up an automatic L when the opponent gets to 21.

FWIW, in the same time period even Karl Dorrell did it once in two years. Prime has done it 8 times.

I was having a conversation with another Buff fan with a Nebraska guy on the periphery. We got to talking about the last decent coach they had and agreed it was Pelini. I said “I bet they wish they had him back again”. The Nebraska guy chimes in and says “no we don’t. That guy was crazy”. I’m like “he’s the last guy who actually won there and you are worried about him being crazy?”

upshot, for me anyway, is that they will continue to step on their dicks. Forever.

They are all waiting for the corpse of Dr. Tom to come back and win national championships running the triple option. Not going to happen.

They couldn't wait to get to the Big Ten, now they are destined to spend their future at the bottom of it.
