Ron Zook?I think I can somehow get more excited about any name being tossed around than I was about KD. I'd be hard pressed to come across another candidate that would underwhelm as much as KD did

Oooorrrrr…If you’re worried about Sanford securing the job for next year, remember that we’re only half way through the season and this team is still very bad. This game will be a distant memory by the time we run the gauntlet of Oregon, USC, UW, and Utah to end the year.
I can think of a certain guy that's been floated who has a predilection for sharks that might fit the bill.I think I can somehow get more excited about any name being tossed around than I was about KD. I'd be hard pressed to come across another candidate that would underwhelm as much as KD did
Sooner (Under?)New coach announcement date over/under. December 10th.
Really depends on if they swing and miss on a couple candidates. Best guess is that they don’t hit in their first choice, possibly their second, and end up with a plan B type with a mid-December announcement. I’ll take the over, but would be pleasantly surprised if they land their first choice and hit the under.New coach announcement date over/under. December 10th.
week earlier would be my guessNew coach announcement date over/under. December 10th.
and with Deion comes a very pugnacious attitude about most things. I don't want a guy who can't take criticsm from another coach in his league and then in response wear a shirt that advertises that conflict. Dude, you gotta be above that.I didn't have time to read through 39 pages of suggestions but mine is Deion Sanders....I know that's not realistic but that dude can recruit. Guys would want to come play for him.
Meh. “Mature” is overrated. We need results in recruiting and on the field. Whether or not a competitor coach likes him is irrelevant.and with Deion comes a very pugnacious attitude about most things. If he matures a bit, I may be interested. I don't think he will mature though.

Deion thought it was relevant if he put that much time into his response. He is a guy that has to get the last word in- no matter the cost. Mel Tucker or Mike Sanford for that matter would have just shaken the opposing coach's hand and moved on.Meh. “Mature” is overrated. We need results in recruiting and on the field. Why is another opposing coach liking DS after a game relevant? DS would kill it recruiting and bring a ton of publicity to CU football.Deion thought it was relevant if he put that much time into his response. (this is NOT an endorsement of Mel or Mike)
It isn't relevant. It was Deion's actions afterward that I am forming my opinion of him. I don't like what he did and to me, that is not how a head coach behaves. Why is another opposing coach liking DS after a game relevant? DS would kill it recruiting and bring a ton of publicity to CU football.
His players sure didn't seem to have an issue with itIt isn't relevant. It was Deion's actions afterward that I am forming my opinion of him. I don't like what he did and to me, that is not how a head coach behaves.
Ofcourse his players don't have a problem with it! But my standard of coaching is NOT "players don't have a problem with it." That will get you fired faster than Urban Meyer in Jacksonville. His players sure didn't seem to have an issue with it
Putting "I'm SWAC" on a hoodie isn't remotely close to Urban Meyer in JacksonvilleOfcourse his players don't have a problem with it! But my standard of coaching is NOT "players don't have a problem with it." That will get you fired faster than Urban Meyer in Jacksonville.
If you are winning and recruiting at a top level, you’re not getting fired by a college team.Ofcourse his players don't have a problem with it! But my standard of coaching is NOT "players don't have a problem with it." That will get you fired faster than Urban Meyer in Jacksonville.

Tom Herman may disagree. If you are winning and recruiting at a top level, you’re not getting fired by a college team.

Yeah, where was he coaching? Not all places are the same by a long shot.Tom Herman may disagree.
I’m trying to decide what is out of bounds here.It isn't relevant. It was Deion's actions afterward that I am forming my opinion of him. I don't like what he did and to me, that is not how a head coach behaves.
You’re still an optimistic fan. No logic changes that!
He's the HC at an HBCU that has been trying to get the most talented black players to forego the current elite CFB system, dominated by white coaches and administrators. I'm sure it struck a nerve having a conversation with another black man and then listening to him change the way he speaks, presumably to sound more acceptable to a broader audience. He seems like an arrogant dick.
