Problem is that multiple true freshman QB's are killing it, especially Underwood and that kid at Cal, so Juju may be 17 years old blah blah blah, but with a competent playbook, he could have started the seasonNo, Salter looked overmatched. I liked what I saw at Liberty but he had a team around him that was one of the most talented in that conference. He hasn't adjusted his game to the step up in competition with GT and now he doesn't have confidence. Throws when he should run, scrambles when he should throw it away. doesn't have control of his own game and the team isn't confident in him.
Juju looks like a 17 year old freshman getting his first live action in college football. He knows that he didn't play how he is capable of playing. He's going to be fine but it will take some time and there will be some rough spots. He's not getting two years on the bench hoping to get some garbage time. He knows that as the season goes on he will continue to get more chances.
Coach Prime not being in the building all summer (for obvious and serious reasons) had a lot to do with how close this team was or how prepared they were. Shurmur did not do his job every moment
