Other Games 10/29 - 11/2 Buffs bye week.

I'm a bit behind, but I'm left a little confused from what I've read. CU is not making the CFBPO without winning the conference. Why do people care about what other teams are doing when that is literally the only option for making the playoff?
Disagree with that. We need to win out, obviously......but think about what we've seen just from today. I can make an argument for 19th this week, and that's without having played.

-Pitt and KjSU are obviously dropping out.
-A&M got pounded. They could fall 10+ spots.
-Clemson really wasn't competitive at home. Add that to a game where Georgia had their way with them and that's a team who could see perception of it change now. Same deal with them. Iowa State lost at home. Who knows what happens there?

Win out, and I'll pull for Cincinnati for one. If they can go 3-1 in November and finish 8-4, that's a win over a top 25-35 team.

I know I sound petty. But it pisses me off that the lambies qualify for a bowl game solely because they play in a crap conference loaded with crappy teams.

They're fans are the biggest reason I hate them.

Every year, they come into the year thinking they're great, get whooped by far more talented teams (Texas, Colorado), then they think they suck because "lowly CU" killed them, then they turn out to be a perfectly average to above average MWC team.

They're expectations for they're program are so ****ing far out of whack with reality, it's nauseating.

Not sure what would’ve happened to the Pac had SC and UCLA not bolted. But I love seeing them getting punked. Too bad the ducks are succeeding.
As long as Uncle Phil is alive, that program is going to be the best funded in CFB 🤷.

I wonder if his family will give as much as he does after he's dead.

If Colorado finishes 10-2, there's a very real chance we end up in or very close to the Top 10.

Also...KSU is official behind us in the standings. I don't think the voters are exactly sold on ISU, so I could easily see a two loss CU finishing ahead of a one loss ISU in the polls...but I think ISU is going to lose again before the year is over.

There's a very clear path to the Big XII championship, and thus...the playoffs.

Also...seeing Nebraska the last...two months? They have big, physical lines, but they seriously lack in any kind of playmakers at the skill positions. Kind of the story of Nebraska football for the last 20 years. Total lack of ability to recruit receivers.

We were totally unprepared for that game/environment. Would love to play them now.

Okie Light was on the receiving end of an ASU butt-sexing today. I can't believe how far OSU has fallen. They are dead-last in Big-XII standings. Is Mike Gundy on the hot seat? He is historically their best coach, ever... Gundy and Whitt are coaches that I used to envy, but now they are at the bottom of the heap. This was the best bye-week ever! GO BUFFS!!!

Highlight of rammies 32 year old kicker with 3 kids kicked a record 60 harder yesterday

Chip Patterson's top 25 predictions have seemed pretty close the past few weeks at least.

He has the Buffs up to 21.

K-State falls to 20 with us as their fellow 2-loss backstop.

Ohio State jumps Georgia for #2; which would be fair, but I don't think is what actually happens.

Pitt and Illini out, Vandy and South Carolina in. Long live SEC dominance.

You beat me too it.

Good lord, DBT. What do think CU's record is in any P4 conference that doesn't feature Cincinnati?

I think the commonality with both OSU and Utah is this-having a doctoral candidate playing QB typically doesn't work that well.

I have seen a couple national writers mention how checked out Gundy looks this season. His post-game comments have also been 100% throwing players under the bus as well.

A winless season in conference is definitely possible. Not sure Gundy has is ready for the hard reset a season like this one necessitates. Maybe he seriously considers jumping to another job.

Also, 57 years old and with generational wealth. He could retire and make some decent money with a tv gig and zero stress if he isn't enjoying the coaching profession any more.
