I'm good with the "control with a football move" standard. In this case, he had the ball, got a foot in, second foot out. That satisfies my definition of a catch.

After seeing your post, I checked the box score and it is bizarre. No long returns. 1 defensive touchdown, but no other turnovers. Seems like Memphis scored at least 14 more points than would have been expected from the stats.
