Sorry to bring this up @hokiehead, but nice effort by your boys yesterday. A whopping 36 points in 40 minutes of basketball, against fvcking Boston College to boot. Way to go guys!! :ROFLMAO:

VT started the season horribly but started to pick it up when we got to ACC play. I was hoping for an NIT bid..

Yesterday was an abomination in the eyes of man and God.
Put a fork in that team.

Watching the FSU v Miami game for gambling purposes and I’m pretty sure with as bad as we are, we beat both these teams by double digits. Speaking of double digits, that’s all that is in the arena for this one.

There's a lot of bad teams in the ACC this year. They have 3 good teams out of 18 plus 2-3 bubble teams.

And I just read where SMU will not have played a single tournament team away from home this season unless UNC makes the tournament

Iowa State's top 2 scorers (Jones and Gilbert) are out for their game at Houston tomorrow. This also happens to be the game GameDay is at.

Wisconsin has idiots for HCs in every sport. How do you not take a TO there? You have 14 seconds of clock to get a good play called and instead you let one dude go one on five there? Horrendous coaching.

Houston big there. Tennessee up 3 in College Station with A&M playing the foul game. If the SEC gets 3 #1's, its Auburn, Florida, and Tennessee IMO.

I'm not as impressed with Tennessee as I am Alabama. I think the Vols lack firepower and a go-to scorer. They're elite at everything else, though.

Totally fair argument-my issue with Alabama is their schedule as much as anything. Kentucky, Mississippi State, at Tennessee, and Florida (who cemented themselves as a 1 in at least my opinion when they beat Auburn at Auburn) at home are their next four. 2-2 isn't out of the question there, and that puts them on the 2 line IMO.

Alabama also closes out the regular season at Auburn. Granted that's likely a loss but even 2-2 over these next 4 (they already beat UK) would give them 10 quad 1 wins, 2nd only possibly along with Tennessee. They're still in good shape for a 1-seed

We'll see. Worst case scenario they're the top #2. I think they're very good......but that's a brutal finish.

Still lock them into a trip to Lexington or Raleigh to open the Dance.

Gonna be a crowded list of SEC teams for Lexington and Raleigh on the 1/2 line, and Duke is a lock for Raleigh

Monday action post-

Nebraska nearly set the sport back 150 years tonight. Final was 49-46.
Houston-Texas Tech is great basketball. Both these teams are really good-even though I thought Houston played like **** when they were here. Tech (who I'd bet money will start the NCAA tournament in Denver) likely is a 2 if they win the Big 12 because of a bad noncon.

Atrocious decision by Nubs late - Down by 1 with 12 seconds left. After getting the rebound on a missed FT, Williams drives the court and into the lane (he had 26 of their 46 points), and could've gone up with contact...but kicks it out to a Nub Scrub for a 3 (when they only needed 2!) and essentially lose the game. Comical really.

Nobody finds strange ways to lose quite like they do.

Saturday's going to be great-I think we have 4 ranked/ranked games?

Great finish in Knoxville with Mashack hitting the long 3 at the buzzer to win it for the Vols. Double screw-up by Bama, first a 5-second call with 3.8 seconds left and then zero defense on Tennessee's last possession when they had to go the length of the floor. Auburn clinches the SEC regular season title with Bama's loss.

Heard Dickie V call Duke a lock for a 1 seed during that game. I'm not sure about that-if they blow a game to somebody they shouldn't.....

I think they're a lock for a 1 seed, not the overall #1 seed though. That will almost certainly be Auburn. Even if Duke gets tripped up early in the ACC Tournament the committee has shown in the past that conference tournaments don't have much bearing.

SMU pretty much played themselves out of a tournament bid today with a loss to Stanford. Wake barely got by ND but they're still a longshot to make the tourney. UNC is on a winning streak but it's against all the bad teams in the ACC and their quad 1 record is 1-10. The ACC could very well only get 3 bids.
