Other Games Thread September 1-4 (warning, big weekend, it's a long one)

Not a good weekend for the ACC.

Their flagship program Clemson lost, their other ranked programs also lost with Carolina losing to VT and Miami losing as expected to Bama. They also saw Georgia Tech lose to a MAC school and Duke lose to an FCS team. They still have Florida State playing Notre Dame Sunday but it would be a big surprise if FSU wins that one.

B12 had a good weekend with only WVU losing (to a B1G team) The Oklahoma game was closer than they would have liked but wins are wins.

B10 played a number of conference games with only Illinois losing out of conference to a G5 team.

PAC12 gets a huge win by UCLA against a ranked SEC team but also manages to lose a couple games to other conference P5 teams (Stanford losing to Kansas State and Oregon State losing to Purdue) and an ugly loss to FCS Montana by Washington.

SEC won across the board except for LSU losing to UCLA and Vandy losing big to FCS ETSU (yeah, I had to look it up too. Eastern Tennessee State U)

I didn’t realise Aloha Stadium got closed and Hawaii is now playing in a makeshift stadium on campus.

So I was right when I said CU and AFA are the only two CFB teams in the region that matter?

It's trending that way for sure. I think CSU really lost a lot of respect after that soccer stunt they pulled on CU. I lost the desire to support CSU outside of CU and I'm going full steam ahead with UNC plus having their games on ESPN+ is going to help that out. I will most likely watch more UNC athletic contests going forward. I used to go to the old Lab school when it was at what is now Bishop-Lehr hall. The Lab school has become a charter school since it was closed down. That's my connection to Greeley and UNC.

Wyoming fans are good at supporting their team and I have seen talk about Wyoming fans saying they would continue to support their team even if they dropped to FCS. I think UW fans are moving away from the Denver area to the Ft. Collins area due to where this state has gone politically so as a result, UW isn't on the map in CO like they used to.

Just my two cents.

CSU is where they belong, and we don't need to play them in anything for a couple decades.Wyoming did win, but there's concern there.

Something came up so did those cajun steaks taste good?
That was an entertaining game-watched it all. Have a ton of Texas alum friends so I follow them-was supposed to go to the RRS next month until I decided to stay here because of how big a mess COVID is down there-Louisiana's really good. Like best in the G5 good. Texas was one of the few teams who stood out to me today-in fact probably the only one outside of UCLA who did.

Before you talk about Alabama-I expected that.
