Other games weekend of 11/3-11/5

Nebraska is really in a bad spot. They lost all ties to Texas following their departure from the Big XII and they can't effectively recruit California outside of the PAC 12, which leaves the Midwest where they're fifth in the pecking order behind tOSU, Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan State. Academics and location are mediocre. Looking forward, they project out to be a mid tier program.

Could even put them behind Iowa (recent playoff participant) and in danger of falling behind some others. Unlike most other B1G schools they don't have a solid recruiting base in their home state or within a few hour drive. Remember that Iowa, Northwestern, and Wisconsin are all as close or closer to Chicago than Illinois. Nebraska is the outlier a long way from the population centers of Chicago, Michigan, and Ohio.

Nebraska has been way over-ranked all year. They have lost to the only good teams they have played. They would of lost to Oregon at home if Oregon had just decided to kick extra points.
Washington on upset alert?
never mind. that was sick

The thing that never ceases to amaze me in CFB is how teams just simply won't let up when they're up against an overmatched opponent and will keep going for the jugular. If you have a chance to kill your opponent for a fourth or fifth time, they'll go for it.

**** you, Nebraska.

That Joe Burrow is a Nebraska legacy who didn't even get an offer from them lol. Urb might let him keep passing.

Sadly for Nebraska I think tOSU has been trying to let up and Nebraska still isn't stopping them. Short of taking a knee I don't know what they could do not to score.

CU would've been flagged for a personal foul on that first down tackle by Washington on the Cal RB.

While I agree that moving to the Big 10 screwed then recruiting wise, they have money and support that is actually really surprising for their location. But that money and support (and their location in a really weak division) will probably keep them from ever dropping too terribly low.

True, for awhile. Money and support will erode though, if the wins don't come.

After watching the Bama-LSU defensive battle, this UDub-Cal match looks like basketball on AstroTurf. Completely different game style.

I hate Nebraska. But they also illustrate a major problem I have with the fairness of ranking CFB teams. Nebraska is in the Big10 which, like the SEC and ACC, gets all kinds of love with voters. NU started to get rank often only after they moved to the Big10. Would they beat CU? **** no. Would they beat Utah? No. Would they beat USC? No. Would they beat UCLA? No. Nebraska is about as good as ASU. The bottom of the PAC-12 is full of Nebraska-like quality teams. In 9 games sometimes you lose to one or two of those teams and that parity disguises how good the PAC-12 really is. Many a talking head has claimed the PAC-12 is down this year. Really?

It's already happening. There were season tickets available and being advertised on local radio before the season. The next revamp on the stadium will reduce overall capacity. NU still demanding fees for the right to have a season tickets and it's not scaring those holders anymore, they are starting to walk. The streak will end soon, as soon as the boosters that are buying the leftover tickets say "enough"

I blink and it goes from 38-3 to 62-3. What a dog**** team. Where do they even recruit? They're away from Texas, they think they're too good for anyone from Nebraska now so Wyoming and others grab them. What exactly do they do? This is a program without direction.

alabama got break after break. Starting in the first quarter when their qb threw the ball away from the endzone without a receiver in the zipcode. Obvious safety. The 3 personal fouls on 1 play that were offset because lsu got 1? Didn#t know that. The obvious hold on #9 on their only touchdown. So blatant that they showed it again and forced the announcers to comment. The list goes on. As if they need to cheat to win.

A blast from the past, Mr.Van Smack!

UW player tries to knock a Cal player into the rolling punt by slamming him in the back and knocking him to the ground. So, is that legal? Seems like it should've been a penalty.
