Other games weekend of 9/20-9/22

I guess they decided that Tago pulled up. I don't know, though. If that had been us and him hitting Montez like that I'd be ripping pissed if he wasn't tossed.

He should have been tossed, imo.

He got lucky.

As soon as I saw the play first though was that was incredibly stupid and secondly that he would probably be gone, especially since he was leading with his head.

As it is it was stupid enough that it turned what would have been a significant loss into a first down on a drive that became a TD.

How do mom's let their kids go to a lot of places. Look at all the bad behavior over the years at Nebraska and not only do they recruit nationally but they pretty well lock down any local kids good enough to play and these kids parents have been close enough to know what is going on there.
Let's not forget that the fact that Scott Frost essentially let Lawrence Phillips beat the **** out of a girl and never intervened, and somehow no one has ever questioned Frost for this.

that was pretty
Yep. Beautiful throw off of gorgeous play design. After running the ball, they came back with a pass play where the OL action looked like a power sweep to the left. Froze everyone on the D and it was single coverage with no help for the corner.

But then there's the USC secondary.

Well, Osborne did warn Frost to stay away from Phillips' ex-girlfriend because there was a chance that Phillips would kill him. He probably didn't intervene because he was afraid that if he lived he'd be in the coach's dog house.

USC's DB's seem to be surprisingly lacking in the speed department.
But we know it's not that. So it's got to be an issue of being confused and lacking confidence in what they're doing that's causing them to play slow/tentative.

Great athletic play by Minshew.

Could have used a better play call on the 2 point try, though. You'd think the Pirate would have had something up his sleeve for that.

Yeah, but when you get beat on a go route, playing slow because you're confused isn't really a viable excuse. They're definitely doing way to much thinking out there though.

Geez, that was an interesting play call. He didn't read jack ****, looking right was just eye candy. He went back to his primary, wasn't even there.

Didn't that have something to do with the 2nd thoughts about that gig Frost supposedly had?

Dudes need to locate the damn ball, but they panic and don't. Hell, it's not that hard to know when it's coming.

These refs and announcers seem to be under the impression that face guarding is illegal in college football. It's not.

You can face guard as long as you don't physically hinder the receiver's ability to catch the ball.

That last PI call was BS.

Edit: my phone edited announcers to say annoying. Tomayto, tomahto.
