If Zeus hadn't taken his sweet ass time to get off the court, this wouldn't even be an issue.
I'm working in PHX this week and the whole "concerned about students rushing the court" thing is getting a ton of media play here. It's abnormal how focused they are on this. I wonder if the ASU team might be a little intimidated by the possibility of getting crushed by the C-Unit...
Won't be losing any sleep over "Buff Pride 88" getting his panties in a wad over questioning court storming
I am a die hard U of A fan and want to respond to a couple things.
U of A has been rushed 11 out of the last 13 away losses that it has suffered, just think about that. no one else gets rushed so its really not a big deal. U of A is the only team that deals with it.
About 10 years ago, a Tucson high school basketball player who had a full ride to Stanford was almost killed when his high school rushed the court in a rivalry game, Tucson is a small place with not too many college BBall players coming out of it so this has made a lasting impact on the city.
I am not saying that there is a conspiracy against U of A basketball when it comes to the refs, but in the pac-12 tournament championship game against UCLA ed rush did put a bounty on Couch Miller, and then ended up quitting right after that, and last year when U of Clinched the Pac-12 regular season championship outright, you would of thought that Larry Scott would have been in attendance but he was at some other meaningless conference game. So AZ fans have soured from him. Did you see the technical foul that they called on him? the first half the officiating was god awful in one direction.
And seriously, i cant tell you how many people on here are calling miller a "whiny bitch", watch the video and you cant honestly say he is acting like that.
The only reason i am here is because i don't dislike your fan-base like UCLA, ASU, OU. And every team on the planet has terrible fans, i hate that people dont understand that and get all pissy when they talk crap. By and large AZ fan base is better than most.
I'm all for storming the field/court, but yes, it's a low point when you're part of storming the field against a 4-8 Iowa State team. I guess the real low point was Montana State that year.Low point, really? We won those games. I guess that was back when we thought we were going to be good again soon.

Hey what you think about Grayson Allen dye? Think they will sit him a bit?
11 out of 13 road loses, 11/13. 84%.First of all, the ***** cats are not the only team that gets the court rushed on. I'm not sure where that idea comes from.
Second, after having attended the game and having re-watched the game twice now on tv, I CAN definitively conclude that Miller is in fact a whiny bitch.
Got to ask then... why is Miller not doing more to make sure his guys get out of there? These should be pros at it by now. instead you have zeus sticking around and looking for a fight. Seems suspicious.11 out of 13 road loses, 11/13. 84%.
Maybe you shouldn't be so good then if people rushing the court makes you guys that upset.11 out of 13 road loses, 11/13. 84%.
What happened a few years ago wasnt a cut and dry situation like the head of officiating putting a bounty on the coach, what happened in that game has probably taken place 50+ times in college basketball since that game. Dont act like that is the same thing at all.YouTube highly disagrees with you. Maybe if you only counted your geriatric fans.
Your fans sounds like Patriot fans. Don't come to a CU site and say that there is possibly a conspiracy against your team when we have evidence that your team beat us in a bull **** way just a few short years ago. And you're always on top on the league. Huge conspiracy that Larry Scott would hold down the best team in the league year after year. Seriously, the religion forum is where we go with our persecution complex. You might need a counselor with yours though.
You just sound silly and you're not helping the Bearcats having good fans argument.
Actually, a team winning the game on a last second shot, but then having it reversed on no evidence - or even contrary evidence - has happened just once since that day. And it was worse. And it was by the same crew. What happened a few years ago wasnt a cut and dry situation like the head of officiating putting a bounty on the coach, what happened in that game has probably taken place 50+ times in college basketball since that game. Dont act like that is the same thing at all.
And yet, after that 'god awful' officiating in the 1st half that was so obviously biased against the poor cats, CU still ended up being called for more fouls in the game. The officiating was classic Pac-12 level: extremely inconsistent, tons of missed calls, random ticky-tack calls, reviews of calls that had no reason being wrong in the first place, etc.
Arizona didn't receive all the bad calls by any means. Just look at the last few minutes of the game. Collier bodied and hit on his right hand by Zeus, then pushed in the gut. Nothing called, except a correct reversal giving the ball to UA, since it did hit Collier on the way out. How about Wes getting hacked by 3 guys at center court with just under a minute, when it almost looked like UA was trying to foul? Tell me how many hacks Scott took before the traveling call near the end? How about the floor scramble where the guy on the floor only traveled about 3 times?
That's just the last few minutes. I won't even get into the Trier travel-fest or Ristic 'walking screens'. CU got plenty of breaks as well: the 2 continuation plays for UA that were waived off, the non-call on the steal that led to King's breakaway, etc. The officiating sucked as usual, but it didn't favor either team.
They were one sided in both halves, actually. They just switched sides.i specifically said the refs were 1 sided in the first half. you are looking at the whole game.

To be fair, I think someone was just bad at quoting.Someone edited my post to add that last line. Maybe thats part of the problem, i come here and dont attack or put your fan base down in the slightest and someone edits my post to try to make me look like a douche. Then "Your fans sounds like Patriot fans" is said.

obviously "dply" has nothing to offer.Careful, I think there are people in the bushes outside your house. Also, every white car you see is a government spy keeping tabs on you.
That sequence isn't why we call him a whiny bitch. We call him that because he is. Coach K is a whiny bitch. There are all kinds of whiny head coaches. That doesn't detract at all from the fact he is a good coach. He just whines and pouts when he doesn't get his way. I have seen him lay on the scorer's table and pound on it with both fists during a game in Boulder before when a call went against the Cats.I agree with that, after York didn't even touch the CU player and got called for a foul, miller said "What was that" got a T and then said "good" then we tossed his water bottle in disbelief. you guys honestly cant say that he is a whiny bitch for acting like that. its funny how most people cant have a realistic view of what happened. its like no one has ever watched a college basketball game before.
