Predictions for RMS

Rams think they have better tailgating than us.

That explains why they love Invesco so much.

What they don't think about is all their fans could tailgate together at any one of the variety of locations where CU fans tailgate.

I bet a popular sackygate has more die-hard buff fans than all of the "die-hard" ram fans put together.

I'm not surprised they mentioned the grass. Poor jealous ****ers.

Well they do now have some pavement and a few shrubs, or what they refer to as a major upgrade to the stadium.

Also ironic that if they ever get their on campus stadium parking (and tailgating) will be spread among various locations similar to what happens at CU. Then they will instantly change their tune.

Screens and Gerald and Jeff Thomas. CSU is in really, really, really, really bad shape. Our D will be young, but will improved with hopefully a healthy secondary. We need CUD, Pericak, Major, and Rippy to step up and for Hendo to keep improving. Our stats really have no where to go but up.

This isn't a very convincing argument.

Dammit!

Jimmy, we really do not need anything close to our "A" game to beat CSU this year. Their DL is hanging by a thread (worse shape than ours, think about that) and their OL might have issues gelling for the first several games. We probably have the advantage at every position outside RB and the secondary (probably pushes). We are not anywhere close to a good team, but CSU is likely going to one the second worst team on our schedule.

Hell, they could hold the entire tailgate inside of a Ford Pinto. Here is a green one they could use. Pretty much CSewe style as well.

Well, to back their point up, tailgating at UC does suck. And I'll just toss it out there that tailgating at CU rocks

I'm just really down on the offense. It looks like it could be the worst offense that I could ever remember. I need to see the QBs play before I start to believe its going to be better than last year.

It can't be as bad as 2006, so we got that going for us.:smile2:

I agree that the offense looks pretty marginal on paper. If we can stay healthy along the OL, we might be okay. So many unknowns though. We really need better defense and special teams right off the bat to weather the storm that first month of the season IMO.

do you guys remember the days before Darth had a job and was still a student and was happy most of the time and stuff and didn't come on allbuffs and make us cry.

How much different will the 2012 offense be from the 2007 offense? Serious question.

Talentwise not much, coachingwise the difference will be night and day.

2012 we will actually have a game plan, we will be able to consistently get a play in with enough time to line up and run it, and maybe even audible if needed. Since the team will have a sense of what they are trying to accomplish they will have better results.

That points to a positive for Colorado's chances against CSU. The 2007 team was a decent, not great, offensive team with a run first personality and efficient movement of the chains with Cody converting relatively often on 3rd down.

My biggest question mark is on the defensive line. If we're playing in CSU's backfield and winning the line of scrimmage, then my hopes for the season will go way up.

With their suspensions and expulsions they shouldn't be a threat to be in our backfield. I talked to Capi, he's got some options.

I meant us getting into theirs. I'm worried about our DL right now. I think our OL should be in pretty good shape.

Not much different, hopefully a little better. But we did not win many games with offense in 2007. Keep in mind we ranked near the bottom of pretty much every offensive category in the Big 12 that season despite scoring 42, 43, and 65 in three games.

In contrast, we finished in the top half of the conference in most defensive and special teams categories. We had three first-team all conference defensive players, including a Butkus Award finalist. Those guys were probably worth 2-3 wins themselves. Do we have some guys with potential on this year's defense? Sure. Do I think we are going to see three pretty dominant players emerge? Probably not.

rn: Fresno St, BYU, CSU, and SDSU to round out the Pac-16 when all said and done:wow:

They have gotten uppity lately.... I thought they were going to the Big12?
