Predictions for RMS

I unfortunately have had to work my whole life andwith my education have made a very nice living. Go back to your Trust Fund
I'm continuing to get a vibe that this guy is not a CU fan. The trust fund joke is a favorite of CSU fans. Establish some bona fides. And yes, we are all assholes.

Makes you wonder how in the hell those up their fort fun can justify the investment in a new stadium with more capacity....

This is all part of Cap'n Jack's wonderful plan. If no one shows up to neutral site games and at Hughes, then obviously it is the off-campus nature of the games that are killing attendance. This in and of itself justifies a 45K stadium because there are 35K lamb fans that would go to an on-campus game but won't travel even 3 miles to hughes.

Jellyderp.

. Now I know why the smarmy nature of internet boards bothers you so much. Keep practicing.

Nah, I just hate arrogant people. TheTrust Fund part is for all the California people that come to cu. They wear on me.

I think your points are right on. I have a feeling Embree is out after next year

Maybe, maybe not.

I personally think that it's premature and probably unfair to judge JE at this point in his tenure.

He should be given the chance to bring in his guys and coach them up.

Last year's performance was more of indictment on the CUAD's stubborn decission to retain Dan Hawkins for year 5, knowing that this decission would result in a talent drain and recruitment deficiency.

I'd rather see Benson or DiStephano out after next year.

For me to call for Embree's dismissal, it would take scandalous behavior and/or a team that gives up on the coach.

Given the behavior shown by Embree and his staff in year 1 (gritty win at Utah that relied on Senior leadership), I'm content to let him prove himself in year 2 before making any harsh recommendations for a replacement.

I have a question from one of the other trusafarians around here (which is probably all of us ). So what do you do if your butler wants a day off? He made up some lame excuse about need to go see the doctor for some pain in his chest or something, I know it is not a heart attack because he is super thin from working 16 hour days and hardly having time to eat, he is probably in better shape than I am. So do I give him the whole day off to take care of "health issues" and let my personal assistant, the chef, or my chauffeur do some of his duties? Can I get a substitute butler for the day?

I agree.

See this is why I stay away from these boards, not a whole lot of working getting done.

I know a couple of kids that were trust fund babies at CU and they were all pretty cool, but I agree that it is easier to just generalize people instead of taking the time to get to know them.

This is atrocious. Worst thread of the year.

I'm just a newb, but I love this thread. 'Gasm is a national treasure. He makes outrageous, unsubstantiated statements, and we try to respond logically. He then makes more outrageous unsubstantiated statements and the entire board collapses in emotional outbursts. It's what the internets can be, should be, in my opinion.

It reminds of that old show "Dream On" in which Martin Tupper was the reasonable guy trying to operate in an unreasonable world. By the end of the show he'd have an utter meltdown (the rare time when physical comedy was funny to me).

My main beef comes with this being 100 pages. 20 would be appropriate. Hell, you'd think there was some actual hype for this game with a thread this long. Too late now though, what's another 100

There's hype for me. It's the first game of the season. Most games only have one-week of smack, but as we all ramp up for the first game, there could be a build-up which lasts for months.

I join you in wishing to avoid the impression that CSU is a rival, or that this game means more to us than say Sacramento State. But in the sense that I am learning to dislike CSU fans more than Sac. State fans, it does mean a bit more. A bit.

The CSU game is like a really big fart for CU fans. It slowly builds up pressure over the offseason bringing a slight discomfort. When it finally explodes in a loud trumpet blast, it typically feels good for a second even though it might stink. At that point you are glad it is over as it vanishes in the wind, kind of like CSU fans after this game.

Unless they're stomping on our logo mid-field. And then you realize it's ****ing appendicitis and not gas at all.

I never want to lose to those ****ers again.

Ya know, CV, there is a difference between the tastes an preferences of Allbuffers.

Some segments within buff nation are just going to be more passionate about this game (and this thread) than others.

Buff fans who don't give a rats ass about CSU probably don't know many friends and acquaintances who attended CSU. This includes CU fans who were not raised in Colorado (or went to BHS) and didn't witness their HS friends slink off to CSU. The RMS could be the only venue other than Boulder that some of us have ever attended to watch the Buffs play. If you are in Colorado and get to talk **** every day with CSU friends and family, this is an important and emotional event.

But if you grew up out of state, don't have any friends or family that went to CSU, never banged a CSU coed, and are surrounded at the office by people who cheer for teams that play in some big time AQ conference, then you see the RMS as some low budget second rate provential meaningless pillow fight with a 25% chance of being a trap game. This is also a valid position.

I find posts from posters explaining why they never post to be among the most entertaining posts you'll find....

Well, you may regard IHCU as your personal little dancing chimpanzee, then.

I'm partial to the morally superior "posters on this site are so..." myself. Buffclass90 is good example. Back when I was a nameless browser, there was this guy named "pabuff" or something like that. I wish he'd come back.
