Predictions for RMS

Sounds like Tonga practiced yesterday so if I remember the rules right he has to practice out of pads for 3 practices. So he will only have 8 days of "real" practices before the RMS.
Who needs practice? Darrell Scott didn't.

Looks better when driving by. I like seeing it on gamedays

Can't we throw $5.00 to Gasm so he can use his degree to weed wack down at least 22% of that undergrowth?

Is that on 42 North of Burger King?

no. it on the side of a highway covered by weeds that displays a crooked sign that is supposed to show support for the Buffs.

may as well as have some homeless dude holding a cardboard sign standing there. despite what gateway might say.

i am sorry. that just looks like crap.

No its not. I drive by the one on 36 every day, it is behind a green on the coal creek golf course and at least 50 feet off of the highway. This one looks like it is right on the road.

fine. i relent. its a wonderful sign that shows great support and respect for the University of Colorado Football team and one that would garner the admiration of any fan of any college football program in the nation. it is truely that nice! especially how the grounds around it are so well taken care of.

i am proud that have that sign as a Buff fan!

In other news, CSU students have only purchased about 3k out of their 10k ticket allotment

http://www.coloradoan.com/article/2...-student-tickets-sold-Rocky-Mountain-Showdown

At this rate they will have around 12k in the stands. What a joke. This game gets worse every year. At what point does CSU start losing money playing this game? If both sides keep their ticket sales and split the expenses? Does CU get a larger portion of the TV revenue?

Each program has to buy its allotment at a set cost regardless of whether it sells them. Each then receive a certain amount from the game. I believe that media split depends on who is the "home" team in a given year. My understanding is that ticket sales have been so bad that CSU is losing significant money at least in relation to what they'd get in a check as the away team at Folsom... and it may be that it's a net financial loss for them.

Beerfight blames the poor sales on CU

The worst BCS program in the country? REALLY? Maybe fans are having
a hard time getting up for this game?

Of course he did. The only other option would be to admit lambfan sucks. Someone explain to me why they need a new stadium again.

It's an attempt at a hail mary.

Now that they know that the MWC won't become a BCS conference, which would have elevated CSU despite themselves...

Now that they know that the major conferences aren't interested in them, which would have elevated CSU despite themselves...

They have realized at their highest levels that they need to make one last, desperate attempt to position themselves to get pennies from heaven. They're paying for coaches they can't afford. They're trying to push through facilities they can't afford. If this hail mary works, they could become relevant. If it doesn't, they'll remain irrelevant and be in financial turmoil. The odds of it working are actually less than we'd put on a hail mary pass, though. But it's really either this or dropping to FCS for football and focusing on other sports.

And I followup then I will stop quoting Ramnation

It's UC's Super Bowl but we need to get up for this game no matter where
they stand and do nothing for our SOS.

We need to get up for this game

He is the biggest reason I lurk RN. I have never seen a more delusional poster on any forum

This is why I lurk RN. There isn't a thread where he doesn't post something ridiculous about CU

I guess that means it's going to be even harder for them to get up for it next year after we run their butts over this year.

Any predictions on their average home attendance this year. Lose their super bowl big to the Buffs, lose to an FCS team in NDSU. Then have the Pres announce that they can't justify mortgaging the schools future for a new stadium.

If they can't sell tickets to the most important game on their schedule to the only AQ conference team they play how are they going to sell tickets to a bunch of MWC games against teams that are never on TV?

The may lie about it to save the embarrassment but I wouldn't be surprised if they drop below 20k average this year, even with promotions and cheap ticket offers.

Include that with their almost 5k in season ticket sales, and they are rolling in cash! So CSU has maybe (huge maybe) 10k total tickets sold to the RMS in Denver, and their conference network folded so CU had to swoop in and save the day with our conference television affiliations and get the game on FX and Colorado has sold its 36k allotment. Colorado has won 7 of the last 10. Yep, just as many lamnation posters have claimed, with Cap'n Jack-off and coach sparkles, CSU has passed us by big time.

We shouldn't be on the same field as these guys. Please oh please Embree lay the smackdown and put another nail in the coffin of this game.

I don't comment on these boards often if this is true it is going to be very embarrassing to lose to the Rams if they only have 12K showing up. If we lose this game we will be lucking to win 2 games all year

their delusions of prominence are hi-larious. Yes, playing non-conference slap-dick state is sooooooo much bigger than squaring off against our nationally ranked and recognized conference foes. Brain power that can toast bread lightly up there.
