Predictions for RMS

I don't comment on these boards often if this is true it is going to be very embarrassing to lose to the Rams if they only have 12K showing up. If we lose this game we will be lucking to win 2 games all year
Welcome sunshine!

I imagine that as a player, running out to a 2/3rds empty side of a stadium while the other side is nearly full would take some wind out of their sails, and it ain't like they have a whole lot of wiggle room in the match-up anyway. it would even be hard to develop a "road trip" or "bunker" mentality, because they know Denver is neutral turf no matter how they spin it.

Makes you wonder how in the hell those up their fort fun can justify the investment in a new stadium with more capacity. A few pages back someone posted a series of attendance numbers for CSU games.

CU still has a ways to go to compete with other Pac 12 teams on this front but 15,000-17,000 per game! I think there are HS teams that draw more than that.

Our attendance numbers stack above or near equal to the majority of the Pac-12.

I think I read in the Pac 12 media guide that CU was 6th in per game attendance in 2011.

The ewes had a nice run in the MWC for a while, but fell off the map as Utah, TCU, and Boise blew by them in the race to a BCS conference. Nik put it best, this is a hail mary for them.

That's a great point.

Even when they were winning the MWC and ranked in the top 25 they had trouble selling 30k tickets, don't think they ever actually averaged that many. Couldn't sell 30k when a #10 Cal team came in to play a team that had won the league the year before.

Their little core of hard core fans are as rabid as any in college football anywhere. Problem for them is that the core is pretty small and for the most part nobody else gives a s*** even if they are winning.

Did that Beerfight guy really say this was our superbowl? The game that was forced on us, that none of us wanted? The series that's so ridiculously lopsided, it's almost impossible to get excited about? The game in which we have everything to lose, and nothing to gain?

That's awesome! I love that guy!

Reading through lambnation (i was bored) sounds like at least a few members of the city council are against the new stadium. I don't see this happening.

Yep I counted us as 6th as well, although I consider UCLA in the low 60's to be a little flimsy considering that's because of 20k opposing fans flooding in practically every week.

May be wrong but what do you mean we. I have never seen a pro CU post from you on any board.

It's a sheep fan, IHCU standing for I Hate CU.

The post is very much correct. When they lose to CU they will be very lucky to win 2 games all year. They have a decent shot against New Mexico and will struggle to find another game in which they are considered a favorite.

Incorrect, my interests are mainly into basketball. I try to stay away from posting because all it creates is drama. I just think you football fans are ridiculous. Your expectations are so high for a football team that the media thinks will be the worse in our conference. The bball teams expectations are a little high too but at least there is some realistic goals there.

I am going to the RMS this year that is why I checked out this board.

You think 5 or 6 wins is ridiculous? That is what the vast majority of us think.

Your intent is clearly to create drama.

If you've read any threads on our expectations, you'll see that they range from 2-to-6 wins, with a pretty easy schedule.

Either you've read them, and want to stir the pot, or you haven't read them and are presenting an uninformed opinion. Third possiblity is that you've mistaken OMFGasm for a CU fan--that guy is delusional, but he's actually a CSU fan.

I see us beating Sac St., CSU is a flip game only because you never know what you are going to get in that game; maybe Wash St only because on the road, ASU, and one upset. That is 3-4 wins. I keep hearing Bowl Game which is ridiculous

Than I stand corrected

And you'll find a lot of fans here that agree with your assessment (though maybe we're a little more confident that we beat CSU, but you never know). Now run along. The drama you seek isn't backed by the statements you make.

You should take a few notes from 'Gasm. That dude can really stir the pot. He's genius, really (clearly got all of the brains in that family).

I'm struggling with your use of "we."

Take the "Bowl Game" issue up with Embree. This is his goal. This is what is said when his players break the huddle. Embree is the leader of his team and the symbolic leader of Buff Nation. Of course Buff fans are listening and discussing a bowl bid.

You must be detatched from the camp and the 2012 campaign. "Bowl Game" is the designated mantra. This replaces "Brick Game" which replaces "10 wins and no excuses", "RTD" and other pre-kick-off rallying point.

For the record, I'm in the "show me" camp. I'll look to match last year's three win mark and be pleasantly surprised with each win over 4.

And while grammar policing can be annoying, for chrissakes I hope you are not a CU student/alum. Is it too much to ask for elementary agreement between nouns and verbs and the following of some basic rules of punctuation, word choice and sentence structure? You sound like some stock redneck in a Hollywood script.

I think your points are right on. I have a feeling Embree is out after next year

This.

This is where I am too. Kool-aid is fun and all, but there are times when I think we need a refresher course in just how badly we sucked last year.
