In what I assume will be one of the last of its kind in lacrosse***, looks like Buff lacrosse has a new early*** commit in 2019 midfielder Kat Kelley, from Perkiomen Valley HS, Collegeville, PA (looks to be somewhat near Philly) and the Big 4 HHH Lacrosse Club.
Welcome and congrats to her!
Here is a high school season preview article from last month for this season that mentions her - http://phillylacrosse.com/2017/phil...pring-ford-pottsgrove-norristown-u-perkiomen/
(looks like as a freshman last season she was (not including I assume last year's seniors who wouldn't be included in a preview article) already 2nd leading point producer on her team , 3rd in goal scoring and honorable mention all-area in what I believe is still considered one of the main "lacrosse central" areas in the country.)

***Obviously nothing to do with Ms. Kelley (congrats again to her!), but since it will affect this thread in the future as regards to lacrosse recruiting (and maybe other sports if they join in later?), wanted to link now to the separate thread I posted last week (https://www.allbuffs.com/threads/bi...ncaa-will-other-olympic-sports-follow.126064/) about a new NCAA lacrosse recruiting rule (requested by the college coaches' association) where, in short, no contact is allowed directly between a prospective college student athlete (and their families) and college coaches/ staff until September 1st of a player's junior year in high school.
Since the rule change JUST occurred, I'm guessing in Ms. Kelley's case (1) the offer was made prior to the rule change OR was already decided on by the Buffs and so made through her club or high school team's coach(es) and (2) the offer's acceptance was communicated to the school by her club or high school coaches OR was actually communicated to CU before the rule change.?. (As I understand it and read it, there is no new restriction in the new rule regarding college to/ from CLUB (or high school coaches', etc.) communication. The only stated restrictions are communication directly between colleges and, quoting the rule, "an individual (or his or her relatives or legal guardians)".)
Welcome and congrats to her!
