Earlier this week, Shedeur was asked about being a starter and he said yes, he thought he had the ability to be a starter and was better than some guys playing now. One view is that he was being honest and you want a player to have confidence that they have the ability to start. Joe Flacco answered somewhat similarly when asked about being a mentor, and he effectively said the same thing. That he wasn’t there to hold a clipboard. Alternative view was that he should just **** up and be a good little third stringer. Rex Ryan slammed him.
Now, he gets asked about the change in QBs, and he mimes to suggest I’m not touching that with a ten foot pole because last time you criticized me for being honest.
@Gary Indiana (and the Cleveland Browns organization) want him to go into coach speak with something along the lines like, “I’m here to support whomever the coaches select to start. It’s all about winning football games, and I’m here to help whether that serving on the scout team getting our starter ready or playing meaningful minutes.” Life would certainly be easier for Shedeur if he went this route.
I personally understood the reason for the response. I also know that a majority of the American population truly hates the Sanders family. And that is why they interview him. It’s for clicks.
