Elliot and Freeman are getting mentioned for Duke & others, too. Got to think that both have told their agent they want to chase a HC job this year. Really good coaches.
does his kid still have eligibility? Asking for a QB coaching friend.
I think that makes a lot of sense for them. Good coach who knows the region.
I'm intrigued by that one and JSU has had athletic QBs for awhile. I think that is a splash hire for a school moving up to FBS.
Notre Dame is used to calling their own shots. In the B1G they would not be a bigger deal that some of the current members and wouldn't be able to carve out exceptions from such things as conference scheduling requirements and more importantly conference media rights.
The B1G media distribution is huge but ND has to think that they can make more based on their name and national popularity.
It wouldn't surprise me to see ND eventually forced to join a conference but most likely that conference would be the ACC because the ACC needs them more in a relative sense.
Because of this ND could get their ACC payout (maybe with a slight discount) while still controlling rights to play and to make the money from some traditional rivals. How much can ND make playing USC, Texas, Michigan, etc.
