This weekends games 12/6 -12/7

Best is such a subjective term, we’re the Nationals the best MLB team? We’re the Blues the best NHL team? Rarely does the “best” team win the championship in sports.

I’m all for the conference champions and an extra team. **** the bias nonsense, let each conference prove its worth on the field. Instead of a bunch of people in a room telling me who the best teams are.

but I’m also rooting for 8 teams.
You're first point makes the point of why playoff are a dumb way to determine champions. Playoffs exist because they add games, which adds money. If anything, college football does it the best because no one gets in on srupid **** like winning a division or conference. Keep it small, make it the best teams.

The great coaches approach a game like this thinking of what their opponents will do to beat them. They prepare their team to be ready for what their opponent will do to take away their advantage.

Oregon played solid man to man defense and took away the run, daring the Utah wide receivers to beat their DB’s. Utah WR’s couldn’t create separation. UU staff had no answer.

Utah entered this game hoping that the formula that they had used all season would work vs Oregon. It didn’t. And when it was obvious to the rest of us that it wasn’t working, UU couldn’t adjust.

Oregon, changed their offense just enough to sow seeds of doubt in the UU defense. After their starting safety got hurt, they were disheveled and couldn’t really be the great defense they had been all year.

Credit the UO coaching staff, for this one. They thoroughly and completely out-coached Utah. I have been a Kyle Wittingham fan until this point. He got out coached tonight when it mattered most.

AND THE ****ing Ducks are your Pac-12 Champions for 2019. SH**!!! My UO hate-O-Meter just went off the charts.

cant disagree with any of that! Was merely pointing out that Oregon is far and away the most talented team in the P12. Their lack of dominance is confusing, if they’re not scary good next year you have to blame the coaches.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good rant. Oregon is probably the 3rd most talented team in the conference, this year, and I know this is an after the fact P12 CCG reply, but you're ****ing stupid.

Lol. Yeah, Oregon hasn’t finished 1st two years in a row or anything or you know been the only team the last 4 years to finish in the top 3 every single time. Plus they already have three 4* recruits committed for 2021 and are 9th nationally, directly behind USC. USC is like 67 right now nationally? We’ll see how that class holds up next year when Helton is on the hot seat from August-November.

I think you’re missing my point here. Everyone thought the Astros were the best and they got beat in a 7 game series. The Lightning set records and got swept out of the first round of the playoffs. Nobody actually ever knows what will happen, it’s just a bunch of nonsense where a bunch of people say, “THEY’RE BETTER!!!” And we accept it.

There’s so many variables to these rankings and so much bias, I don’t care what they claim. If the SEC 2nd seed is better than the P12 champion they should have no problem proving it on the field.

I do think they’ve largely gotten it right in the first 5-6 years the playoffs have been around and it’s enjoyable to watch for the most part outside a few bad games. But I still think it would be fun to watch 6-8 teams.

You don’t think OSU, LSU, Clemson, Oregon, Georgia and Oklahoma would make for good TV?

Do you realize that last year's class are all true frosh, and that the current "#1" ranked class is still in highschool? USC and UW have a significantly higher rated roster comp than Oregon.

I hate to say it, but I like the ducks in this one. That’s gonna hurt the conference, but i like their chances against Utah. Hope I’m wrong.

I’d really love to see Wisconsin beat OSU, though. That would create all kinds of fun chaos.
Did you really foresee this? Utah being totally dominated?

It wasn’t a total domination, but yeah, I did see this coming.

Why do you insist on being a condescending prick? You only get 4 years, freshman or not that’s the roster, that’s the reality. You want to have a conversation then why don’t you have a conversation, you don’t have to be a condescending prick about it. Because your opinion doesn’t mean a ****ing thing to me and you can go **** off. With that said...

Significantly higher? 4 year average 2017-2020 is:

USC: 90.04
Washington: 89.14
Oregon: 89.102

They’re almost identical. Oregon’s recruiting is coming up while USCs has gotten significantly worse and Washington is a steady 88-89. Just for fun I took off 2017 students because some might be leaving campus for the NFL and they’re leaving in the next year.

USC: 89.41
Oregon: 89.72
Washington: 89.37

2 year average

USC: 87.01
Oregon: 89.99
Washington: 88.95

So, again there are the facts. USC can out recruit Oregon anytime they please but they aren’t doing it right now. Their last 2 classes are going to hamstring them for a few years while coincidentally Oregon’s lowest rated class will be leaving campus, leaving behind better players which is the opposite at USC. Washington is Washington and Oregon is gaining steam looking for a 3rd straight #1 overall P12 class.

Feel free to rebuttal the calculated mathematical reality of the situation and inject your superior opinion.

Whoa. Who is more talented than Oregon?

All 4 P5 games have big spreads today, anyone like any upsets? I think Georgia beats LSU but expect OU, tOSU and Clemson to win their games.
Upsets usually don’t happen in CCGs. Last night was biggest spread upset in almost a decade.

Oregon had tested themselves against stronger competition than Ufraud had. Should have beaten Auburn, but stumbled at the end. Utah won every game they should have, but still failed to beat USC. Hence Ufraud Utes.

Yea I was surprised to see that stat this morning where teams favored by 6 or more are 29-1 in CCG's. The 1 loss was Utah last night.

Apparently everyone and you’re ****ing stupid if you think otherwise.

I think you both came on a little too strong. You were way over the top in basically just handing Oregon the title next season and he was equally over the top in rebuttal.

Chat board extremes, not atypical. Let’s watch ball.

yeah, sure. But with USC putting together underwhelming classes mixed with coach uncertainty and Washington changing head coaches who should be the favorite? Oregon has the pieces and they can only blame themselves for not being 12-0 this year. My biggest issue is the initial reply, if you disagree, that’s fine, we can debate it civilly. But don’t come at me with a, “**** you, you’re stupid.“

Strange as it sounds, I think there is more pressure on Georgia today and it will show IMO.

They will be the favorite but you're pretty flippant about them not going 12-0 this season. Like yeah, losing to ASU was not great, but going 11-1 or 12-0 is really ****ing hard.

baylor QB hits the ground hard, staggers, woozy. baylor sideline checks him out, puts him back in a series later. after another play or two, ref says they need to take him out and check again. guy then goes to locker room. little concern for the kid, they just wanted him in there. should they get paid?
