Cal is the safety school for each of them? They all have ridiculous mascots? The first four teams on that list have one thing in common which may skew your analysis.

aTm's starting QB went out and the backup can't throw the ball.UCLA shut down A&M when they needed to. If you remember that game, A&M had two running backs that were ripping off 8-15 yard carries. Once UCLA woke up, those guys stopped being as effective.
This game concerns me. I hope we have our A game for once this season. UCLA can do a lot of damage.
This. Their backup was Bernard Jackson'esque in his "ability" to "throw"aTm's starting QB went out and the backup can't throw the ball.

That whole situation was quite interesting to follow when he was suspended for transfer rules and CHSAA for awhile would not reinstate him. I think he has had a similar career at UCLA as we have seen with Michael Adkins here.Looking at the UCLA stats I saw Nathan Starks name. I had totally forgotten about him. He played at Cherry Creek for awhile, IIRC, and was like one of the top RBs in the country coming out of HS. Had offers from everyone. Seems like he has not had the career that was envisioned coming out of HS. He is getting a few reps in a backup role.
We haven't put pressure on CSU, Texas St. or UNC. What makes you think we will put pressure on Rosen?Get pressure on Rosen, get a few turnovers, and let UCLA make the mistakes they inevitably make and I think we have a good chance.
They had 3 sacks against CSU, 6 against TSU, 1 against UNC, and 0 against UW. UCLA's OL isn't great, so hopefully it's more of a CSU-TSU type effort from the pass rush.We haven't put pressure on CSU, Texas St. or UNC. What makes you think we will put pressure on Rosen?
For everyone who is down on Montez, I'll just leave this here. Enjoy the progress as he develops. Kid is special.

I'll take that without reservation. If he's better than Kordell and Detmer, I'll be a happy fan.*Special as it pertains to the history of CU quarterbacks.

FIFY. He doesn't have to be better to make me happy, just belong in the conversation.I'll take that without reservation. If he's in the conversation with Kordell and Detmer, I'll be a happy fan.
For me it's not about his talent. It's about his game management. But as for completion percentage, we are running a really controlled passing game throwing a lot of high percentage passes. That said, I really believe Montez can be special.I'll take that without reservation. If he's better than Kordell and Detmer, I'll be a happy fan.
You've just now realized that? They win this game, and I fully expect them to be competitive against WSU and Utah on the road later this year. Lose this game and I will immediately chaulk those up as losses.Suddenly I've come to the realization/belief that this is a really important game. That is probably because ucla looks more and more like a winnable game and because we really need to build some momentum and confidence. So this has become a very big game in my mind. It is one I considered a probable loss before the season. Now it's a possible win.
Kordell was frustrating the entire time he was at CU. Great athlete and he had the arm to make all the throws, but his foot work was so bad that I don't think I saw him complete more than 5, 10 yard out routes in his entire career at CU (and they threw them a lot). The ball would always sail way way high or and up in the turf five yards in front of the WR....definitely frustrating...but the things he could do with his legs, with crossing routes and on deep routes....made him special.Every time I get frustrated by Montez, I try to remind myself how infuriating Kordell was at times as a sophomore.
the thing that frustrated me about Kordell was his inability to get UP for the big games. He had the nickname of sleepy. It really showed up against the nubs every season. He would then go like 0-10 before completing a pass.Kordell was frustrating the entire time he was at CU. As for UCLA...I don't expect much this week, but I believe CU gets healthy next week.
