I can't believe all the whiny geezers on this thread bitching about the late game. Take a $&@$ing afternoon nap!

Who cares if the east coast won't be able to see the game? Nobody that's who. There isn't enough interest (outside of your whiny asses) in the east to cater the game schedule to them. The team plays in a conference based on the pacific coast. Games will be scheduled in such a way that it is convenient for people in that region.

But won't we lose exposure being so late? No, we gain exposure by being one of the fewer games on.

As an East Coaster who will be up til 1am watching the game, I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. It's 12 ****ing games out of an entire year. Quit being soft, an 830 MST start time is completely reasonable. Get some food and beverages and make a nice night out of it.
