UCLA Game Week -- Official Thread (8:30 on ESPN2)

The key will be whether we can establish the running game. (Obviously always true, but especially in this game.) Rosen is going to get his yards and TD's so we need to keep him off the field as much as possible. Shorten the game, lots of time between plays, only pass when necessary and keep the clock running. If we can do that we have a great chance to get a road win against a pretty good team.

Yeah, but I feel like we have so many receiving threats that are pretty dang reliable, and Montez can throw and can very often (given his youth especially) make completions happen. So I agree making them pay attention to the run game will really open up our offense, but as is the case that's more likely to happen if their linebackers are scared of the Ross/Fields/Bobo pass game. I just feel like Lindsay's reliable and a smart runner, but teams know they can shut down our run game because our O line isn't perfect and we're trying so hard to "establish the run" that they can just overwhelm any holes that might open for him.

Go Buffs!

I actually think we have the edge here.

Our Offense>>>>UCLA's defense.
Our secondary >= UCLA's Deep ball threat

I've found myself being good with the late start. Being productive on a Saturday during football season for a change is nice, and have something to look forward to all day.
Same here. It definitely sucks for national exposure, but for someone like me who will watch it no matter what time it's on, the late start is great.

It's all about switching it up, if this was our fourth 7:30 or later start in a row it would be different but as of right now it is working great.

Food truck festival at five points -> Oktoberfest at south Pearl -> Birthday drinks at Rayback Collective -> watching the Buffs on my couch.

Busy day!

(Plus going to Broncos-Raiduhs tomorrow)
I was at the Rayback a couple weeks ago with a friend that still lives in Boulder. Awesome place, I'd be there all the time if I lived in Boulder.
