What does next year look like? (I'll give it a go)

I don't have a problem with starting Lewis against HC Dude and Rammie if he earns the opportunity. Stenstrom as QB1 going into the start of spring practice.

Alfano is a classic 3-tech IMO.
At his size, he has otherworldly speed and quickness to go with his strength. If he is a worker, he can be elite at any position that requires him to put his hand on the ground. I see him rotating between the 3 and 5, and maybe floating around to take advantage of a mismatch on clear passing downs.

Not too bad. A couple notes I had

Offense:
Ray will start at Guard if he is healthy and up to weight. I just don't think he ever will be though, so if I have him on a depth chart, he is starting.

Defense:
Alfano will be interior and not on the outside. He is a legit 270-280lber.

Gonzalez is slated for safety and Perry is slated for Star. It doesn't sound like Allen is anywhere close.

I would go Rakestraw/Gonzalez at safety, Blackmon/Miller at corner, with Perry at star. Going to be a lot of movement in the back half of the defense as the safety position is a disaster right now. No way around it, but there will either be a grad transfer, or a couple position changes moving to safety. Corner is still a question mark due to talent and injuries, but there is some depth to play with at CB.

Good catch, but you missed my point-Lewis isn't QB1 the minute he gets here. He needs to beat out Stenstrom and Lytle.

After how well ASU's frosh QB did this recent season, I'd say it would be a shock if Lewis isn't starting for the Buffs at CSU.

Maybe-but that's not my point. Can't compare Daniels and Lewis because what ASU's schemes are different than ours. I have no issue whatsoever with Lewis starting against CSU provided he beats out the guys who are already here.

I just don't see the remaining QBs beating out Lewis especially when Lewis is coming in for the spring. If it was summer, I'd go with Lytle or Strenstrom.

Hope OC JJ and Tucker are keeping eyes out for JUCO dual threat QBs in case one of the returning QBs decides to transfer out. I cannot wait to see the offense next spring.

We'll see. I think Lytle is going to leave TBH. I'm kind of intrigued by Stenstrom, and I'm looking forward to watching those two go at it.

I think WR is going to be really fun to watch. Lots of guys with differing skillsets and no clear starter outside of Stanley.

Obviously QB will be the main one to watch, but the WR battle this spring/fall should be really fun too. Doesn't feel scary either, given all of the talent Chev has hauled in

Yes, brain fart. Duhhhhhh.

I like Sami. Just not as a rusher.
I 100% understand that.

He is still just a pup (freshman last year), but I saw a few things late last year that have me thinking he will surprise as a rusher next year. Maybe I am projecting too much, but he has great size and strength to be able to move the pocket back into the lap of the QB. He will create a lot of sacks for edge rushers in my opinion, and ultimately will benefit when QB's start stepping up to avoid the edge rush.

Time will tell. This group as a whole is so much better after today than it was one year ago.

I think

Rice, Keith Miller, Berry, Guy Thomas, Alvin Wlliiams, Alfano, Striker, Gonzeles will get a lot of snaps next season.
