Bo Jackson's college career wasn't good enough to be where he was on that list. Has to be about more than talent and athleticism. There have been a lot of better RB college careers and Heisman seasons. Is he even the #1 player in Auburn history?

Give me Barry Sanders. Single greatest Heisman season ever. And I'm not sure anyone is close.
Bo Jackson was one of the biggest physical freaks in the history of sport. Barry Sanders was absolutely amazing to watch, and has unequivocally a better stat line, but people want to think about what could have been had Bo not gotten hurt. I think that carried into CFB in this vote, and personally I am okay with that. I loved watching Bo play.

Bo didn't get hurt in college. NFL is irrelevant to this. On this, Vince Young was a better QB than Peyton Manning.

I agree with you....that’s why I said I think that dynamic carried into CFB in this case, in response to you asking what else might have influenced the vote. Not debating your position.

Announcers trying to convince me this is targeting. Bullsh!t. Whatever happened to trying to force a fumble by putting your hat on the ball? That's all he did.

I wish CU had a guy like Skalski, dude is hardcore. That was targeting and i get the point but god I hate that penalty.

LSU passing game is great but they have a damn good rb, surprised they haven't run him a little bit more.

It's soft. That's not football.

I agree, it’s soft. They really need to have variations of the penalty, the automatic ejection irks me so bad. Unavoidable contact and inadvertent leading with your head should be a 15 yard penalty and a warning. Ejections should be for obvious, malicious intent.

EDIT: lol and Klatt beat me to it.

I'm ok with it being targeting. What I'm not ok with is the automatic ejection.

Basketball refs can handle two levels of fouls; there's no reason football refs couldn't - especially with replay.

Targeting 1 = 15 yards, just like an unnecessary roughness.
Targeting 2 = 15 yards + ejection.

How many focus groups did they film before finding a group that liked a Whopper?
