I still can't believe that was a condition.

Now maybe the condition was that he be interviewed.

And maybe KD was scrambling so badly for AC's that it was easy to say "yes he's the guy."

But RG should be fired for cause if that was an actual condition.

The only maybe required hire should be Hagan, but even that is "you need to find him a spot, it doesn't have to be a coach - and if you really can't, we'll bring him into the AD."
 
I love Nate Landman and I have a ton fun watching him out there.
We mucked it up and our defense fought tooth and nail to keep us in it tonight.

This TAMU team is easily as talented as TX was last year. Yet this game went very differently. We have some pieces to be a very good team.

It hurts that we didn’t close this one out, but it’s really dumb and overly pessimistic to come in this thread and trash this team after what they just gave us for a performance against the #5 team in the country.

Team look energized and played well.

I think it is fair to trash the offensive coaching staff. Pretty rough.

Chiv played for KD, and at the time that KD was hired, Chiv had all sorts of players lobbying for Chiv to be the HC (in no small part due to the social media campaign he was allowed to launch). He also had the ear of the AD. You tell me why he promoted him at a time when it was very difficult to hire assistants. Now, why a different OC wasn’t hired this year, I don’t know. But last year was looking good on paper, so why mess with it?? I will be interested to see how this year and off-season plays out.

I think a general rule is to not react super strongly to a single game.

The two games of offense taken together are concerning.

I'm not reading too much into the final score, because TAMU is not a top 5 team if they open the season with Calzara as QB1.

Exactly. Most of you goofy bitches predicted a loss in this game and in the end you got a hard fought game against the #5 team in the country where we saw that we have a lot more pieces than we thought we did and this program may actually finally be going somewhere.
Yes, Chev sucks. But you can gobble my cock if you aren’t more optimistic today than you were yesterday.

One of which involved no in person visits. If you're going to get all up in arms about last year's class.. you need help
 
I was disappointed, but our D balled the **** out. The O, besides the running game, not so much. I'm not down on them, they played hard against a flat more talented team. The D got gassed at the end. We had chances, but didn't take advantage. That's gonna get you beat 9 out of 10 times. Overall, I was happy with the effort. Losing sucks, I don't give a **** where it is. Proud of these guys for.playing hard today.

I don’t think Gary’s post was directed at me, but in case it was. I have absolutely no qualms with how the team played. Everyone played their heart out and it was great to see. I have an issue with one man and one man only. Name starts with C ends with hev and rhymes with trashcan
