Official Colorado vs Minnesota game Thread

I don’t believe that. I think he gave Chev just enough rope to hang himself. Now he can do it his way. IMHO
I don't believe that for even one second. This is a WCO that Dorrell has been around for 20 plus years. The last time Chev was OC, the offense looked nothing like this.

I am not absolving Chev, he is awful and will get fired at some point, but you are just rearranging the deck chairs unless you completely revamp the offense. This starts at the top.

No offense, but your handle is so distracting. Would you consider changing it?

Clever! Not like I haven't heard that before.
Exactly, that's how ****ty of a recruiter KD is

Here we go with this......I'm way more concerned about the fact that we're averaging 3.5 points and like 150 yards of total offense against power 5 competition than that, but have at it.

Oh, dear. I just waded into this thread (lightly) after spending the day at the game. Tailgate was fun - breakfast! The rest was ugh. Just awful. I usually try to see the positives when I'm watching the games (I haven't been a CU fan long enough to become as jaded as my husband), but there was precious little for me to be optimistic about today.

Is anyone else feeling like they're finally done at this point? I stuck through the depths of the depths. I was in the stand throughout the Hawkins era, through Embree and 2012 and the MacIntyre years. Today I just turned the game off and left. I've never done that before. It's like something snapped, but it wasn't even a visceral reaction, it was more of a kind of peaceful apathy. I haven't even checked the scores of any of the other games today.

Good to know he has experience with team's that are terrible. I bet he gets more...I wonder what the common denominator is?

He has no clue. He basically treaded water with some decent talent at fUCLA. He has bottom 1/3 P12 talent here and he is looking like he cannot maintain that.

Here we go with what? Facts?

You are short sighted if that’s what you’re mostly focused on. It’s all connected. They’re this bad because recruiting of all the prior coaches haven’t been good enough and KD’s is objectively worse. What do you think you’re going to be focusing on in 2 years if recruiting isn’t addressed?

That average is wildly off, too. We had one game with some yardage. Two games < 100 or so. I’ve never seen such offensive ineptitude.

On a side note, I think our WR corp has developed serious problems, which is a huge surprise: without Shanault, we have two WRs with any experience, Stanley and #6 (blanking). Take away Stanley (which everyone does), we have almost no experience at the position. Seems we are running true freshman as regulars. Rice and Craig will be good someday…. But each have less than—what—10 to 15 targets… ever? #6 is all talent… little production.

Arias. He wears grease for gloves

You think the recruiting is bad now? How bad is it going to be if this staff doesn't do something after a ****show like this to try and fix it? Something's gotta happen by tomorrow at the latest. Take the play sheet away from Chev. Give Carter a start if for no other reason than to let Lewis catch his breath. This was that ****ing bad.

I actually was too hard on them with the 150 number. 260 yards of total O last week plus the 63 today=323. Split that in half and thats 161.5. Still pathetic.

Stanley had a bad game last week. Daniel Arias? Whatever. Haven't noticed him in several years-and still hearing people pump sunshine on him. I've tuned it out-and forgot he was still even on the team. Show you can play at this level or go sit the **** down. Agree though on your main point-which AC has that group as a position responsibility again? Chiaverini. Failing so epically as both a play caller and a position coach that I'm not even worried about him leaving on his own accord. I can't see another power 5 team even wanting to hire him-and his ego seems so big to at least me that he's not going to move to a Group of 5 program.

I don't really have much to say about that **** show. They looked ill prepared, couldn't give a rat's nasty ass, etc.. KD better hope they know how to fix it. ****ing recruit, and get a real OC. That **** was embarrassing and on your own home field. I did something I never do. I turned it off with about 8 minutes to go. That was absolute garbage. Don't talk about what you need to work on or your past experience, ****ing do it.

Giving Carter a series or too for a few weeks is a reasonable idea-Lewis looks lost right now, and that seems to at least me like it could be good for BL.

Darrin Chiaverini has to be demoted tomorrow. I don't give a **** if Dorrell calls plays or has Langsdorf do it-but Chev can't. His position group's play has been unacceptable, and his play calling is a disaster. Time for him to go back to the WR coach/RC role-because that's his ceiling as a coach.
