2022 Transfer Portal

It's still looking young and inexperienced to me. I'd have preferred a veteran portal guy with some playing time under his belt.

I was also more hoping for a veteran presents starter type guy, not really a guy in Carter's class that hasn't played at all

I vaguely recall liking his HS film, that's about all I got

You really think the 9 players that transferred from Nevada to CSU were about NIL money. If you dig through the portal you will see plenty of players leaving the Blueblood programs via the portal, many were highly rated HS players who found themselves behind other highly rated HS players. I don't think there is a lot of NIL money for a 3rd string safety from Penn State transferring to Jackson State. Two of the schools doing well in the transfer portal are Indiana and Kansas, I don't think there is a lot of NIL money there but there is an opportunity for playing time because those teams are not loaded with talent.
I'm confused. We're talking about Nevada Reno and CSU. Pretty sure NIL wasn't at the forefront of the decision making process.

Come to CU! Immediately playing time under an OC who previously worked with Jordan Love right before he was drafted in the first round, led Minnesota to an 8-4 record in the tough Big 10, and has had previous stops at high flying offense at Notre Dame and Boise State!
Or come play for a coach that makes every QB he coaches drastically worse. Either one would be cool.

I think we have 4 scholarship OT for spring ball and that includes the true Freshman Gray. Not good. It is like KD doesn't think we have a problem with the OL.

Tough to get a OL transfer with no OL coach. Add the fact the previous OL coach was 1 of the worse hires by a P5 program ever and your not getting anyone until KD proves he can hire someone competent.

Well, KD mentioned 26 on the signing day call as a possible number with transfers. We now have 21 signed including Kopp and Hurtado.

Hopefully we are looking at some OL guys to take at least 2 of those spots.

These transfer announcements are becoming novellas.
Sark is really tearing it up at Texas, does everyone still wish we had the old lush here? He is better than KD, but not in a functional kind of way.
Casey Thompson would be a stud to have if we had a good OL, Hagan probably could have talked CT into bringing his kid to an old rival, if we did not already have 6 QB's

I think that Sark would have been a great fit at CU and is a terrible fit for UT.

He would have been about as homerun of a hire as CU could get

Quinn Ewers is probably better than Thompson with a lot more eligibility.
