#Fire Coach Dorrell

Post OC hiring, I say HCKD cannot screw up next season or he's shown the door. What I'm afraid of is that a bowl game will mean an overvalued extension for HCKD.
You don't need to worry about this team under his leadership and Sanford's offense making a bowl game.

Seriously, I think KD will have done a pretty good job to get to the 4-5 win range

now we just have to hope RG doesn't reward him for that effort with a juicy (fully guaranteed) extension

Maybe Dorrell should hire someone like Moawad. Needs to lose the cardboard and get some mental tinsel.

Interesting note about midnight Mel in the article too.
Cardboard Karl will always be Cardboard. Sun rises in east.

“He’s a very honest guy,” Ludwick said. “I haven’t spent a crazy amount of time with him, but the few times I’ve had to sit down and have dinner with him and whatnot, he’s a nice guy. He has a nice mannerism to him. He’s just a really cool dude and I’m sure I’ll get to know him a lot more as I’m playing for him.”

Brian Flores fired at Miami today.

There is an alternate reality where AHC/ WR coach Karl Dorrell is weighing the pros and cons of looking for his next NFL WR coaching job vs moving to his retirement home in Boulder

Hey Cardboard

Seems like everyone but KD gets it

agree 100% on recruiting comments, but I'm not convinced that a given school or HC needs to be able to develop coaches. It seems the market is such that you can hire experience.

It all depends. Experienced doesn't always mean "good". I assume this is somewhat a recruiting pitch to coaches well. "come here as a QC and we will develop you into an AC" or "come here as an AC and we will develop you into a coordinator" etc. Also related to maybe bringing in a young coach that can recruit and teaching him the on field coaching aspects.

This bull**** about him being frustrated that nobody is buying into his vision is garbage. This is now his third year here. The time to instill your culture has come and gone. If they aren’t buying your vision, either you are doing a poor job of communicating that vision or the vision itself just plain sucks.

This is a huge part of it IMO.

RG says there's a vison. KD says there's a vision.

But it's apparently a super-secret one, because no one seems to know what the **** it actually is.

And then they get all pissed off if anyone presumes to ask them what the vision is.

If you can't clearly communicate your vision in 3 basic sentences, you need to do more homework.

I think the reason they refuse to actually share the vision with anyone external to the program is because they would then have a stick by which their progress could be measured - and that would imperil the gravy train for them, their friends, and their families.
