Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of fateful trip....
So who is Ginger and who is Mary Ann in this scenario? Mary Ann was always the popular choice from guys who wanted to pretend they really wanted somebody with a good personality.
I’m a Ginger guy, personally.

Tough question. There's no one on the coaching staff I'd be particularly interested in sleeping with.

Definitely Mary Ann. I’ve never understood the Ginger thing.

It’s not the personality as much as the “high maintenance” (fashion and makeup hyper focused), fitness, and fun issues for me. Ginger goes to an upscale bar or restaurant—that’s about it (and is going to take hours to get ready). Mary Ann goes anywhere with you and is enthusiastic about it, looks adorably sexy at all times.

(Of course, my wife has never worn make up and runs ultra marathons with me. So…. I’m hopelessly biased.)

Even worse, as that assumes that he gets on field before the third string X or A receiver. If he’s behind those guys, depending on scheme for a week, he could be the 8th receiver in line. He is also only clearly listed above ONE receiver in the entire depth chart of ten receivers, which does not seem to include freshman coming in.
Yeah, that was kind of the point I was making. Gave him the benefit of the doubt with the 2 other 3rd stringers.

He's better than at least two of the guys in that tweet. You have this idea of him in your head based in his time at CU. Rice is going to the NFL after this season.
He's good enough to be a legitimate contender to get drafted. I find it hard to believe that even a team as stacked as USC has enough talent to keep him on the bench. He is going to get playing time and he is going to get some numbers.

Comparing his situation that that of KD Nixon is ridiculous. As thin as CU is KD wasn't going be a featured guy in Boulder. Rice is a guy with NFL size, speed, and skills.

If Riley hadn't wanted him and believed he could contribute they wouldn't have taken him. In that case you don't want an older player who is a potential attitude problem, you take a young guy who could develop.

USC was completely devoid of talent for the most part. Riley brought in anyone and everyone who was an upgrade and Rice qualified. Since then, he’s also brought in multiple WRs better than Rice. He’s going to be lucky to put up 30/450/3+ TDs

He absolutely won't be their #1 or #2 but some here are talking like he won't ever get off the bench. The numbers you listed are a very realistic expectation. When he was at OU Riley's teams tended to have a lot of guys in that range. Just don't be surprised if he ends up above that.

I think Addison's presence reduces opportunities for everyone else more than most receivers would. For what they paid, Riley will have to get him numbers like he put up at Pitt if he wants keep the gravy train going.

I’ve already provided the numbers in Riley’s offense at OU when they had Heisman caliber play, and Rice would have to solidly be WR3 at USC with top 3 in the country passing offense to get those numbers. They did not spread the ball around as much as people think

Bryant Jr is their slot receiver making Rice WR4, at best. The good news for Rice is that he'll never be double teamed or covered by the opposing team's CB1.

How many in 25-35 catch range?

How many in 25-35 catch range?
Three total players in that range across those three seasons, and all three only had 26 receptions.
2017 with Mayfield - Mark Andrews is/was a TE, so you're look at 32 and 550 being WR3

2018 w Kyler - WR3

2019 w Hurts - WR3

So, yeah, realistically, if Rice is WR4-5 this year, he's probably look at something like 20/350/1 as his stat line.

For reference, he had 21/299/3 last year at CU. I think it's probably the best move for him to go to USC, but I think it's naïve to say he's in a much better personal situation than being WR1 at CU.

Hmmmm. That’s a hard bet. My inclination would be over. JT hits a few plus some late meaningless scores.
To be clear, CU scored 18.8 ppg last season, to which I said they can't be worse than that. Manhattan adjusted to take away ST and defensive scores and 16.41 was the number. I really don't think that's going to be a hard number to hit

That seems reasonable.

It’s hard for me to blame Rice for leaving or fault KD for his departure. Players like Rice and Gonz were out the door no matter who was coaching them here. It’s much more concerning players like Stanley and Broussard left imo.

Rice probably wishes he would’ve gone somewhere else now, he’s not totally out of luck though. The third or fourth WR at USC could still get NFL looks any given year with some paltry numbers. Worst case, he goes back to USC for another year. Hell, he might not get it, but USC is paying Addison more than most 1st round NFL picks this year. Rice could be making as much as a late round draft pick already.

Rice could sit on the bench all year and still make more money than 99% of the population. Or USC got lucky and bought him super cheap, but that seems unlikely.
