CU players in the NFL

Crazy thing is that they could still do it and end up with Schuster/Scantling/Shenault instead of Hill, and save money while adding a bunch of draft picks.

KC is having a great offseason.
We’ll see. Anyone who is downplaying Hill no longer being there is underestimating what he has meant for that offense and Mahomes specifically. He is truly a rare talent that was not “QB-made”. Juju and MVS are not even close to replacement level players for him.

Mahomes having arguably the best ball catching corps in 2022 while eliminating his previous "take the top off the defense" guy puts serious pressure on him to prove he is an elite QB.

I was going to crack a joke about Landman being 2nd or 3rd round talent, but now I’m just depressed.

His injury has more to do with it, although his post-injury speed may be the primary concern
He hasn't shown he can stay on the field. If you were an NFL GM, I don't think you can justify more than a UFA risk on him. If he'd been healthy, I think he'd have been a 4th/5th round guy. ILBs in the NFL are built more like SSs used to be - natural 205-210 lb guys you can bulk up to 220-240 without losing all the speed, agility and coverage skills.

Yeah, without injury, think he would have been a 4th or so, in the mold of Jewell

Was Borghi out of eligibility at WSU? Always thought he was a stud who was going to be fairly coveted in the league, but he is struggling to catch on as an UDFA
I never had that impression of Borghi.

Like Phil he is undersized. He's a better receiver than Phil but not as good at breaking arm tackles and the toughness in tight spaces.

Phil has proven that in the right situation he can be successful in the NFL but it has to be the right situation. I don't think that situation exist for Max. Dynamic weapon against college athletes but not in the pros.

Nate did his annual football camp in BV and my son got to go. Pretty cool. My wife wanted to ask him what Tom Brady is like.
Nate seems like a really down to earth guy.

I know that he and his wife have chosen to live in the Eastern US. She is from Connecticut but more importantly the specialist his son needs for his cancer treatment are there.

Without those factors I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him happily living on a ranch someplace and just being one of the local guys (granted a very big local guy.)
