2022-23 Coaching Carousel

With CU quickly changing their admissions policies for transfers”

Can you provide a link that says CU is actually doing this? I’ve seen where it’s been talked about, but not officially been adopted. Apparently I haven’t been paying attention
I can’t find it but I do remember a CU source being quoted in an AB post recently speculating on whether of not CU could change the transfer rules for athletes and not for all other students.

At the end of the day, whether the coaching search results are Yay! or Meh!, the devil will turn out to have been in the details, whether it’s the above or some other squirrelly thing.

Yep. I’ve seen those posts.

I guess that’s my point - there haven’t actually been changes…just expected changes, which auto-activates my caution shield. I just feel like we’ve seen this before.
Again, not doubting anyone who’s telling me I’m an idiot, just skeptical is all.
Adam wouldn't be reporting on it like he is if it wasn't changing at the highest levels

The skeptics are...

1. People who do not have a 247 sub
2. People who are eternally negative on CU & don't want to get their hopes up until it's signed and dotted

And then there were 3... Colorado, Cincy, or Stanford.

Deion at Stanford? Doubt he would even be listed in their Top 20 candidates. Cincy is a stable Top 25 program, would they really risk a Prime hire? Can't see it myself .... so CU it is by ....

There's a few here. I have a kid there now so follow them pretty close. Listening to the local Auburn ESPN station right now via internet - they're trying to be positive but there is a definite undertone of lukewarm vs freezing.

I listen to Birmingham radio on a fairly regular basis and haven't heard much concern regarding Freeze's past although much of the talk had been about Lane up to this point. The hot take, particularly nationally will to be outraged and say what a disgrace a hire like this is but Auburn will endure the firestorm for a day or so and then it will hardly be talked about anymore. From a pure coaching standpoint this is a good hire and Freeze is a guy who has coached in the SEC and had success, plus he knows that part of the country very well.
