Won’t the Big12 always be there as a last resort? CU is instantly #1 brand (sad).
Persian Gulf oil money, definitely the biggest bag around.
We are basically going to be in the same spot we would have been if Baylor took our place in the P12 along with the five other Big 12 South schools back then. I am pleased that CU will be on ESPN+ instead of the P12N but my biggest concern is that ASU & Utah comes to the B12 in addition to UA. That will make the B12 more manageable. But what I missed about the B12 all those years were how people from other B12 fanbases couldn't stand CU and its fans but were united in hate of Nebraska. The 4C schools + BYU could bring that back and we would resume reminding KU, KSU, ISU, and OSU fans of where they came from after beating their team in Boulder.
My hope is that Coach Prime gets the opposing fanbases riled up that they want to beat us but deeply seethe because we beat 'em. That is what was so good about playing our old Big 8 rivals. My hope is that we get that back and build upon that with the other 4C schools. If not, I'm going to just watch the CSU & Nebraska games and any other rival CU has while I watch other rivalries across the college sports landscape.

What do we wait for? P12 isn't getting the TV money. There is no one the P12 can add that would raise the value. 6 of the remaining 10 are looking for a way out.

If the P12 was smart, they would have added Boise St and SDSU. Forget about academics on this one. Boise has proven itself for 25 years. More important people like watching them play.
Smoke was definitely looking around after some later additions..... That was solid.

My understanding is that the B12 move is justified with several key things, but I'm not honestly certain if this was told to my buddy or he's arrived at this thru yacking with the money club over at CU....
1. UW and UO are potential next ones out to the B1G, which would damage the PAC12 profoundly and there's no names in the B12 that the B1G is likely to consider anytime soon. So this is playing defense to some extent.
2. The money is better, no matter what Wilner had me thinking. So why wait to see if the PAC12 gets pummeled.
3. The PAC12 deal is worse than expected?
4. The exposure is better for recruiting Texas to the Southeast. Quite a big difference all issues considered.
5. Less restrictions on what CU can do marketing wise than with the PAC12. (speculation in my opinion)

If the B1G hasn’t taken UO/UW by now they’re not going to anytime soon. Eventually? Maybe. But one way to enter the conversation is to kick their a** repeatedly for the next 5-7 years.

Yes agree but they don't bring back the $$ being lost and doesn't reach the level of $$$ in the B12. So the Pac just falls further behind in revenue. Knowing that our and uw want out its just a matter of time before the Pac is dead or relegated to MWC starts.
F**k those dudes. They said 3-9 was best case for CU this year with a few other close losses.

The Big 12 would take them if they wanted out. A four team add of CU/AZ/UW/UO is probably the most profitable quartet they could add.

Yes. There will be 3 classes. The wealthy, middle class and poors.
