2018 College Football News

A couple of years ago I would have thought no way does this cost Meyer his job.

In the last couple years we have seen issues with harassment and DV cost CEOs, Senators, and Network Department Directors, their jobs. The climate is different now.

If this doesn't cost him his job there are people who will sink their teeth in until they find a way to get him out. @Duff Man is right, what will cost him is trying to cover for the guy for two years.

OSU won't do anything until the uproar gets so insane that they have to suspend him.

Where did you get this? Haha I need the link

i am not sure about that- this has the potential to blow up pretty fast and it isn't like ohio state has never had a scandal before and it isn't like meyer hasn't been embroiled in one before.

i guess we will see. i don't like ohio state or urban so i am just going to schadenfreude my way through the stories. heh.

Based on how they have handled things in the past including with Tressel and others I would agree.

Thing is though that with the issue of DV it is going outside of the sports media. Depending on who in the media decides to go after him it could get so ugly that tOSU doesn't have a choice.

The fact that it’s almost the end of “business hours” in Ohio and tOSU still hasn’t made a statement is mind-boggling. Makes me think they will try and hold on to Meyer until they legally can’t anymore.. (Title IX)

Different circumstances but conference mates Michigan State and Penn State both ended likely costing themselves a lot more money by delaying. The university legal counsel should be looking hard at the damage this could do to the university and their bank accounts.

At the very least, I would think OSU has to say something today and probably has to suspend him a few games or else this is going to engulf that team all August.
I told my coworker UofM and MSU fans this might be a big enough PR event to get an important loss or two out of tOSU for themselves and make way for UM or MSU Big10 champ. We'll see. Maybe.
