2018 NCAA tournament thread

Really really disluke. Bill Raftery is the most annoying "color" guy IMO and I cringe whenever I tune into a game he's on. Even more annoying than Vitale ... and that's saying something.

Raftery is a treasure. With the kiss. Onions.

Feel free to read through this game thread from the beginning.

That was hilarious.

Loved the guy who said Miller is too good of a recruiter and gets too many 5 stars, when they would win every time with a roster of 3 and 4 star players.

Yeah, that's it.

This turned into an amazing game. If this was the only example, it would totally support the idea that you don’t have to watch the first 35 minutes of a game.

Shot making in overtime has been tremendous by both teams.

Nevada won a game in which they didn't have a lead for over 40 minutes.

Not often do you see that happen.

BTW, weird to see Eric Musselman coaching Nevada.

How did that happen?

Because my alma mater, which is also his alma mater, didn’t really pursue him for some stupid reason when we fired Bill Grier.

Not that I’m bitter about that or anything.

He was at LSU for a while coming out of like the G League IIRC-He'll move up at some point I would think......might wait for UCLA to finally ax Alford before he does?

The committee likes to set up these potential 2nd-round matchups of traditional rivals and in-state schools - Marshall is playing WV in the 2nd round. There's also the potential for Clemson and College of Charleston to play. I'm surprised they didn't put Missouri as an 8/9 seed in KU's region

Potential-but watch out for NMSU........I went with them simply because of the geography-which does matter this weekend.

Clemson is vulnerable with their 2nd-leading scorer and rebounder Donte Grantham going out late in the season.

I went to Sweet 16 games in Albuquerque back in 1992 and NMSU not only reached the Sweet 16 that year but they also ended up playing in Albuquerque. It was a great environment but they lost to UCLA.
