2018 Rocky Mountain Showdown (8/31)

I have no idea if CSU will be good. I do know they will magically replace their OL and still be good, just like every year (why is that impossible for us).

But thinking about the Buffs, I am not sure how we can be all that confident. We were not a very good team last year.

And CU still won by two scores. CU is so much better than CSU. Be confident.

Dawkins had only 43 last year and I expect CU to have a better defensive line for this game.
 
5dimes.eu has us as 8 point favorites already. Books are traditionally conservative in this game because of the rivalry component on the csu side. Losing this game would be catastrophic.

I think last year’s game settled at 8 points also. Does anyone remember?

Either way, I really like CU -8. Second year of Elliot running defense with a lot of starters returning. CSU on the other hand will have a brand new defensive staff to implement new schemes to an underwhelming personnel group. The Buffs should be able to double their output of 17 from last year.

LY settled in the CU -2.5/3 range. A lot of folks liked CSU’s experience. CU made them look terrible and we were a bad team.

Okay. That’s sounds right. I feel like it opened at 8 like this year.

My guess is that it gets bet down to less than 5 as the season gets closer. Public perception will be that CU lost all offensive production and won’t be able to cover such a large number. I like CU at -8 now and love them anything under a TD. This game won’t be close.
