Pete Carroll wants a new job
The greatest dream option of all is Chris Petersen
Kellen Moore would make a ton of senseI had two opinions about this offseason-Prime has to obviously be extended......but Rob Livingston's deal can and should be re-worked.
I don't think Prime is going anywhere. Jerry wants a guy who will allow him to meddle, and I don't think Prime is that. His last two hires have been pretty boring coaches in Garrett and McCarthy. They both let him meddle. This is going to be Kellen Moore IMO.
Everyone is available all the time Rick.Im not sure anyone is available this late in the cycle
Steve's starting to build his staff.
It just occurred to me that the last time we had a player win the Heisman, our coach left.
We. Are. Cursed.
Well the current coach hasn’t left yet so it’s not really a curse unless it happens again?..It just occurred to me that the last time we had a player win the Heisman, our coach left.
We. Are. Cursed.
Sent! Can somebody PM me and let me know when to panic?
But Saban wasn't coaching his son(s), so totally different.Deion needs to ask his AFLAC buddy how his NFL stint went.
FIFYNot true. The coaching fraternity have integrity and does not take calls after a certain date.
Everyone is available all the time Rick.
Dak to TN would be interesting and I do not think it is going to happen for several reasons. I believe the signing bonus becomes dead money for the Cowboys so that would be a like a Russ problem for them. Not quite as bad but bad. The $60 million a year salary owed Dak is a problem. Nobody is picking that up in total so that will also cost the Cowboys. Then you have the no trade clause Dak has in his contract. Way way to much lining up against this type of a move. Way too muchI feel like leaking this really hoses the Cowboys if they were serious about doing a deal with Tennessee for the #1 pick. If JJ has approached the Titans, there would already be the notion of what JJ's reasoning for trading up would be, but now that the news of Prime being contacted by JJ is out there, Tennessee knows that they have JJ over a barrel. If it is a serious inquiry, JJ's needing that first pick not only for a QB but for his number one coaching candidate, too. In addition, the Cowboys can't wait until the draft to make that trade, which adds urgency to the trade, which gives the Titans even more leverage.
The Titans aren't going to eat Dak's $61 million cap hit. They aren't going to do the trade for just Dak and Dallas's first round pick. They have no reason to do those things, especially now that they hold all the cards.
He's probably still available again.RG landed Dorrell late in the hiring cycle.
NFL media speculates on Cowboys potential moves like NBA media does with the Lakers. It moves the needle.Dak to TN would be interesting and I do not think it is going to happen for several reasons. I believe the signing bonus becomes dead money for the Cowboys so that would be a like a Russ problem for them. Not quite as bad but bad. The $60 million a year salary owed Dak is a problem. So what actual stuff has come out that isn't just quoting someone else is giving an opinion?
So far I have seen:
The original report of JJ and Prime talking.
Prime's soft rebuttal
A whole bunch of people repeating or editorializing on the above.
Anything I'm missing?
Put 100mil/7yrs in front of Peyton Manning’s eyes and see what he says …
