I have an amusing JJ story.

I know a CEO in the DFW area. He was invited to Cowboys training camp, first day, when Parcells was the coach. The team was out stretching, getting warm etc. Parcells was talking to his staff, looking at his clip board etc. Then out of the building comes JJ, in sneakers, athletic socks, cowboy blue gym shorts and a white tee shirt with a whistle around his neck running onto the field. Bill Parcells gave a massive eye roll and the invited spectators began to chuckle.

As long as Deion is here he will be linked to job openings. It is part of having a coach with so much media attention and one who leads a non top tier program. The Cowboys are pardon the pun prime material for clickbait.

I've said this before-but I think re-doing (for lack of a better term) Rob Livingston's deal is just as important as ensuring Prime actually looks at the extension that is on his desk.

I don't think Prime to the Cowboys is happening. Goes completely against Jerry's track record for the most part since the well-publicized pissing contest that led to Jimmy Johnson leaving the Cowboys. Since that happened, he's hired Barry Switzer, Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Wade Phillips, Mike McCarthy, and kept Jason Garrett around for almost a decade. I know Parcells was there from 2003-07, but that's an obvious exception.

Jerry likes boring, white head coaches who will let him run them over. Prime is the total opposite of that. Kellen Moore is not.

Everything you are saying is spot on

I think that Prime's deal has a big folder and then lots of little folders next to it, specifically close to $1.5 Million or more reasons for RL to stay put and I still think he is a different kind of man that is not chasing job when he has a loving wife and little kids
