2025 Transfer Portal News & Updates

We're making room for Juju too. It just looks a little different.

USC's starting QB gets benched and enters transfer portal with a head full of doubt. Lincoln Riley has lost his touch.

CU's starting QB thrives, is included in Heisman talk, and will be the 1st pick overall.

Transferred from UCF to BC for this season. Was the starter, but coach announced a new starter this week. Good athlete but only 5'9".
With reputable sources saying the QB market is going to be full of million dollar offers this off season (athlethic), and also with purse strings being tighter and only being opened for production, this kind of stop gap QB is going to make good money.

Lets pass on a guy who couldn't keep his starting job at Boston College. That's what I would be telling my HC if I was the OC.

I mean...he couldn't crack NUs lineup
Bingo. We can do much better than a backup at a barely bowl eligible school. Especially considering the success other transfers have had coming here. We will be a target school for big time portal receivers

Really depends on if he's still dead set on playing WR. I loved him as a TE prospect, was lukewarm on him as an Edge prospect, and didn't think he could ever start for us as a WR. His fit at TE became questionable once we committed to the position having to do the Y stuff (and some H) which requires the position to block people inside the tackle box. Is he dedicated to becoming a guy who does those things? If so, he could be a weapon.

I think the odds of him dedicating himself to being a physical presence at TE are significantly lower than they were when he came out of hs.

I mean, he didn’t do much trying to play WR (although I think he was injured a lot). Hope he reconsiders.

As has been the case since Prime got here if a guy has his sights set on playing in the NFL this is the place to be.

We know about 12 but he would have been one of the first CBs off the board no matter where he went (as long as they let him play corner.)

Preston Hodge wasn't going to get much of a look coming out of Liberty, now it's fairly certain that he will be in somebody's pro camp next year. He's given up some plays this year but that is because teams are going to go after whoever isn't wearing #12.

With the lack of prep recruiting at DB in 2024. I think CP has a plan where he goes and gets guys out of the portal to plug/play and compete.

Coach Gundy said that any starter or top freshman that enters the portal already has a likely destination and deal in place. It will be crazy, but it will also be painful to any lower level players cause the 105 limit will cut a 1,000 players. G5 will get better
