Wait, explain the Tucker to Dorell thing.Coaching changes always = lots of turnover. Even on teams that are reasonably talented.
Even better is that being #1 has made us possibly the most talked about program in the nation this off-season. Any kids who are paying attention to recruiting can't help but to keep hearing about CU and Prime. Should have a big impact on upcoming years as well.Is #1 good?
Some Cornhuskers were wondering the same thing but with that fine Nebraska education they read the answer as stripers and said "Hey, what about us, we got girls who have worn prison uniforms."Strippers
Tucker left *after* signing day so the roster was pretty baked in; that plus covid meant the churn was both slower and more delayed.Wait, explain the Tucker to Dorell thing.
Excuses.Tucker left *after* signing day so the roster was pretty baked in; that plus covid meant the churn was both slower and more delayed.
Is there real smoke here? Can he get out of his NLI and still be eligible next year? When could he "sign" with another school and make it official, regardless of where he ends up?
If he does have to transfer, doesn't the new rule allow for 1 free transfer without sitting out?Seems to be smoke. Lots of competition if he gets released from his NLI. I think he gets stuck having to transfer and lose the 2023 season if they don't release him.
Yes, but can they transfer immediately after signing NLI? Assuming they don't let him out of it.If he does have to transfer, doesn't the new rule allow for 1 free transfer without sitting out?
If they let him out of the NLI and he has not registered or attended classes yet my understanding is that he could be eligible immediately. It would be similar to a kid who signs and is released because he isn't admitted. This also would not count as his free transfer since you can't transfer from a school you never attended.Yes, but can they transfer immediately after signing NLI? It’s a really bad contract for the kid as It binds them to the school but not the other way around. There’s really no need for the blue chip kids to sign it at all as they will have a spot. The middling players need it to secure a spotI still don’t understand NLI. I feel like I’ve seen kids and coaches bail on that thing all the time.
Unless a school releases a prospective student athlete from a signed NLI, the student athlete cannot be given athletics related aid or participate in athletics at another institution for 1 year. The schools obligation is to provide aid for a period of 1 to 4 years depending on the terms of the NLI. So if a school wanted to, they could prevent a signee from playing anywhere else, except for at a juco. It’s a really bad contract for the kid as It binds them to the school but not the other way around. Sorry if already posted, but, this kid seems pretty, pretty, pretty, interesting!
Homer, LA?Weird. Not one profile on any of the recruiting sites, but seemingly most fan sites have a thread about him. He claims DPOY of his 1A classification with 101 tackles 10 sacks and 3 DTD. I assume he’s been overlooked because of the small school and his size in which they have him playing DL at 6’0” 225? His hudl clips look like he’s a wrecking ball. Maybe a PWO candidate.
Who was graded between last night at 10PM MST and now? We were #2 last night
We were #2 earlier this week. It could be a team in front of us lost someone and dropped down.Who was graded between last night at 10PM MST and now? We were #3 I believe last night
Jeremiah Brown, Payne, Silmon, and Mugharbil were graded, but hadn't been added to the transfer ratings for whatever reason.Who was graded between last night at 10PM MST and now? We were #2 last night
Great part about being #2, it makes figuring out who that might be subject to math even I can do.We were #2 earlier this week. It could be a team in front of us lost someone and dropped down.
That’s odd. That would almost imply that their transfer team ratings don’t feed off the transfer profiles directly and they have to manually push those changes through.Jeremiah Brown, Payne, Silmon, and Mugharbil were graded, but hadn't been added to the transfer ratings for whatever reason.
