Or he was told that he could run the same scheme as SS and have an input on the playsAlso, it’s a big reason Juju signed. He was told/shown what our offense will look like and is onboard with it. It is Shurmur‘s scheme.

Not likelyOr he was told that he could run the same scheme as SS and have an input on the plays
It's still going to be similar. Just a lot more 11 and 12 personnel just due to how we recruited this upcoming year. We are still going to have a lot of empty. Now the hitches, that's Shedeur things, that will likely go and follow him to the NFL but most of what we saw is going to stay. At the end of the day, this is college football. You don't have the same quality as you do in the NFL. You don't have the same amount of time.I’m telling you, the offense we’ll see next year will be MUCH different than this year. This was 100000000% SS2s offense. This has been explicitly explained to Juju and Salter.
1st year coach. Last year a team I know had a 1st year coach. They were bad, really bad. They lost 8 straight games. Did they continue to be bad in what some consider a "weak azz conference"SDSU is really bad. And will continue to be really bad. In a weak azz conference. Lewis ain’t it.
Special teams was horrendous. Worse than the Baylor game. Not really much good to say. Vassett and Mata both had a stinker. Our kickoff specialist was also bad.I’ve skipped a lot of pages. Have we talked about our **** field goal kicking yet?
Good point. Special teams seems to be a afterthought. Really need to bring in a coachI’ve skipped a lot of pages. Have we talked about our **** field goal kicking yet?
Need a true ST coach. Boot Hart and make Helow LB/ST coachSpecial teams was horrendous. Worse than the Baylor game. Not really much good to say. Vassett and Mata both had a stinker. Our kickoff specialist was also bad.
He's an elite practice guy like Charlie. You need those guys to get the quality guys to step it up.I was concerned when CP was excited to have Jeremiah Brown back from portal. He is not even a good depth pieces by CP's standard.
Technically true but the city owns the arena. The Spurs played there for a number of years, she reminded me. Weird place for an NBA team - 60k and kind of rectangular. It's smack in the middle of this 2 million person city (more with the burbs), hardly ever used. I gather it's a constant reminder of what they could be doing there, instead of staring at it all the time. It's right next to a major highway (37/281) that runs right through the heart of town. Renovation is on their minds.Isn’t UTSA a full time tenant?
I know we’ve joked about kickers. And that Mata “inside 45 is nails”… which was summarily disproved last night. It was so frustrating watching BYU get to the 35 and you knew they were automatically getting points. While at the same time, we had to make some really crappy decisions inside the 30 because we can’t kick, and it bit us in the ass.Good point. Special teams seems to be an afterthought. Really need to bring in a coach
Hart is not awful. Flea is the one that i am questioning. At the end of the day, Hart is not awful but I do believe Helow needs to be our LB coach. Hart honestly needs to move to another position group or become AHC since Prime needs him. Helow is clearly our best coach aside from Livingston. Hart probably needs to be a leader but not a position coach leader.Need a true ST coach. Boot Hart and make Helow LB/ST coach

Tbf, Mata's attempt was 47, I think. Your point still stands. Special teams was bad all yearI know we’ve joked about kickers. And that Mata “inside 45 is nails”… which was summarily disproved last night. It was so frustrating watching BYU get to the 35 and you knew they were automatically getting points. Also, punting sucks.
But will our LB be better? We desperately need LBs. H-G was far and away our best, and improved our defense immensely when he became a starter. We need to find a couple at least as solid as he was (hopefully even better).Colorado’s OL next year will be better than it was this year.
Colorado’s DL next year will be better than it was this year.
Sure. More likely they told him he'd be running a Shurmur NFL-based offense. I could see how Shurmurs NFL success as an OC could draw in any player, especially with the time constraints in teaching offense as opposed to the NFL.Not likely
I agree, who would be foolish enough to tell a kid that they would be running SS2's offense, while they don't possess the talent or experience of SS2? Hopefully they told them the offense would revolve around their strengths, and include an effective run game.I’m telling you, the offense we’ll see next year will be MUCH different than this year. The offense will be different but just don't expect it to look like Denver Pat offense. It will look more like Liberty next year. The year after, more like Pat offense. Juju likes to play under center and he's insanely good at playaction. When Juju starts in 2026, expect Pat scheme with modern college vibes.I agree, who would be foolish enough to tell a kid that they would be running SS2's offense, while they don't possess the talent or experience of SS2? For us, definitely. Our returners do know they can fair catch, right? Right?I know kickoffs is a focus area but if I had to guess the average starting position after kickoffs was actually less than the 25 yard line
You know we can't answer this yet. We still are recruiting LBs right now.But will our LB be better? We desperately need LBs. H-G was far and away our best, and improved our defense immensely when he became a starter. We need to find a couple at least as solid as he was (hopefully even better).
It's inconsistent. It probably is but they have some reason bad coverage games in kickoff.I know kickoffs is a focus area but if I had to guess the average starting position after kickoffs was actually less than the 25 yard line
HurtRandom thought but did anyone see Keaton Wade yesterday? I know his brother entered the portal so he is a worry too
Bienemy for RB coach!Hart is not awful. Flea is the one that i am questioning. At the end of the day, Hart is not awful but I do believe Helow needs to be our LB coach. I really think we should bring back Brew as well but neither him or Hart need to be over position groups again.
I would love to see us sign a RB coach similar to what Coach D. Lewis brought this year. Also, Dancy and Sapp coached their ass off this year.
Can't say i disagree but does he want to coach college again?Bienemy for RB coach!
