Oregon state game was the death knell
Man I was really rooting for Mac2, seems like we are headed for another 5-7. If he manages another win and survives gotta get rid of Adams and Bernardi at least.
Turf toe. And, what the heck is Viska's injury? Hate the mystery crap
Alright here is the truth, when viska went out I heard he was going to be out 6 weeks, if I had to guess he isn’t going to be back and the coaches want to make the opposing team prepare for him. There is a chance he comes back and tries to play on it but we should be playing better on offense without him. That is on our OC.The future for this team is brighter than it has been in the last 10 years, and we all feel like its the end of the world because of what we have seen. We are only losing 4-5 seniors total that will be missed, and many have really strong backups ready to go, so with the right coaching plan, I could see a new solid coach getting to 8-9 wins next year as long as Montez comes back.

Turf toe.
There are different levels of the injury. 3-4 weeks is usually the minimum recovery time.It is more than Turf Toe! I have had that before, and there is a point that you can numb it up, splint and wrap the toes together and play.
Gotta earn that salary somehow!Bernardi
Hold him out until Cal, and go all in on making a bowl game in the most winnable game remaining.Alright here is the truth, when viska went out I heard he was going to be out 6 weeks, if I had to guess he isn’t going to be back and the coaches want to make the opposing team prepare for him. I was just thinking that all these Injuries could give Mac an excuse to not have RG fire him!
The offense was definitely not fine tonight. I get the hate from Eliot but how can you defend for Tate scrambling and throwing dimes for touchdowns? Yeah you could play soft coverage and then they kill you in the run game. The offense was fine tonight., especially considering we have the worst OL in a Power 5 conference. Without Shenault, there is no was to cover up such a massive deficiency.
Eliot, on the other hand, is a colossal loser, who will never be a D-1 coordinator at this level. Fired at Kentucky and a failure here. You must not have noticed that Arizona scored on 8 straight possessions!
They have the athletes to have won this week, last week, have a fighting chance against one of the next two and to beat Cal. They do not have the coaching. The talent is light years above what it was with Hawkins. How you don’t see that is mind bogglingOk to be honest with you, havent followed much of the Buffs lately..... in fact 1st time in years. So that being said, I just didnt see the athletes or coaching in place that was much different than the time D2Danny was HC.
And a monkey wrench or caveat. From the game I watched tonight, I know and agree with the idea or notion CU is a PAC12 team as most state here. I dont have a rebuttal for that belief among yourselves. Now get mad at me as what I watched tonight leads me to believe the biggest problem for CU is the lack of exposure on national tv in much better time slot. I'm curious about tonight's rating. Moving games to the MTN and PST time zone is hurting the Buffs as far as talent on the field
Mac is pretty honest in his post game press conferences and it hurts people but he is right.
He just says what people don’t want to hear. Most of those touchdowns were great plays by the receivers while our backs had their heads turned around. He tells you when we get beat up front, which is definitely his fault for not recognizing our faults in recruiting. But he says what a lot of people on here say so it pisses me off when people bitch about what he says when he echoes what we say on here. He's honest without really saying anything meaningful. Rare gift.

Depends what you consider "the starting 22"Hmmmmm..... like I said, been a few years since seeing CU play. And I stand by what I say about talent. Maybe in the past few years the talent of the players has gotten better, I don't know, havent watched or read about the Buffs. Heck one guy I remember is still kicking for the Packers, right? What I saw tonight was no reflection of the talent I watched on the field for CU in the Big 6,7,8 & 12 days. I do know that for certain. So I dont think you know me, and I dont think I know you until tonight. Just so you know. So tell me, who on the Buffs top 22 starters who could play at a P5 and start? Say a Michigan, Wisconsin, Clemson, or even a number of SEC teams? Heck even saxeT?
Depends what you consider "the starting 22"
McMillian (started for VT)
Shenault
Winfree (Started for Maryland)
Brown (Started for TT)
Montez
Landman
Wells
Johnson
Lang
Antwine
To be fair Shenault may be a generational talent and we probably don't lose the last two games with him and maybe not the last three. It doesn't excuse the Oregon State implosion and subsequent breaking of the team, but we easily could have been looking at a potential 10-2 like season rather than a 5-7 one minus just one injury.
For sure that's why I was for firing Mike MacIntyre last year as recruiting and team growth seemed to have stalled. But I think what makes college football a beautiful sport is that a lucky dice throw can change the whole outcome of a team or program and we shouldn't completely discount that.Perhaps, but it shouldn’t take a generational talent to deliver a 7 or 8 win season in year six at the helm. That’s my real frustration, at least.
It’ll be a really close game...right up to the kickoff.Lmaaaooooooo CU beat WSU???? Are you talking about CU basketball?
