They will also be .500, but everyone will be happy.Well... is the basketball team going to be worth a damn?
Shenault & LandmanHmmmmm..... like I said, been a few years since seeing CU play. And I stand by what I say about talent. Maybe in the past few years the talent of the players has gotten better, I don't know, havent watched or read about the Buffs. Heck one guy I remember is still kicking for the Packers, right? What I saw tonight was no reflection of the talent I watched on the field for CU in the Big 6,7,8 & 12 days. I do know that for certain. So I dont think you know me, and I dont think I know you until tonight. Just so you know. So tell me, who on the Buffs top 22 starters who could play at a P5 and start? Say a Michigan, Wisconsin, Clemson, or even a number of SEC teams? Heck even saxeT?
There have been a ton of “should have won” games over the last two seasons. Last year could/should have been probably a 7-8 win season, and they could/should be sitting at 7-2 right now and looking at being ranked again. To be fair Shenault may be a generational talent and we probably don't lose the last two games with him and maybe not the last three. It doesn't excuse the Oregon State implosion and subsequent breaking of the team, but we easily could have been looking at a potential 10-2 like season rather than a 5-7 one minus just one injury.
Over the last two years the team has played seven (7!) games with bowl eligibility on the line. The team is 0 - 7.There have been a ton of “should have won” games over the last two seasons. That’s the story of MM when it comes to sustaining any kind of success, though. Just good enough to get you beat.
With double diget leads in 3 of those.Over the last two years the team has played seven (7!) games with bowl eligibility on the line. The team is 0 - 7.
Yep, things could look drastically different right now if they would have gone just 2-5/3-4 in those games.Over the last two years the team has played seven (7!) games with bowl eligibility on the line. The team is 0 - 7.
UnbelievableYep, things could look drastically different right now if they would have gone just 2-5/3-4 in those games.
Wait a minute. This four game stretch has been a down-right abomination.
An injury to the main weapon, does not lose a game to OSU after being up 31-3 after the first play of the second half. The defensive secondary play has been nonexistent, and the biggest blunder source all season - Abrams and Rakestraw being the exception sometimes.
The coaching doesn’t seem to know how to adjust after getting caught by the toe and this has allowed games to slip away in the second half.
The last three games will be what this 2018 is about. 5-0 is a distant memory...this team is now 0-4. It doesn’t matter what could have been or should have been, this is team is now 0-4. This does not give fuel to fire up any prospective HC’s looking to come in, and now hurts the recruiting prospects. When Viska comes back, will he be the same? What are we going to do to shore up the D backfield and O line problems?
The Buffs need a shot in the arm for the final three games. They need to put bowl eligibility out of the minds and play for face and pride. USC sucked the wind from the Buffs’ sails...this team has not been the same since, and it’s up to the Buffs- from the players, to the coaches to get back into sync and play like there is nothing left to lose.
You and I have had a different experience with turf toe.It is more than Turf Toe! I have had that before, and there is a point that you can numb it up, splint and wrap the toes together and play.
Holy hell. That’s true and the most depressing stat I’ve read. Going to a bowl is essential for any team to improve long term. Every year we give away 15 practices to the rest of our competition. Over the past four years of our rebuild, we have had 45 fewer days of practice than most of our PAC12 competition. Hard to catch up.Over the last two years the team has played seven (7!) games with bowl eligibility on the line. The team is 0 - 7.
I think you should get that looked at lolYou and I have had a different experience with turf toe.
I'm on year five. It happened in a pick-up football game, and in the moment I suspected I'd never push off on that toe again. So far I'm right. Everything on that foot--walking, boxing, running, comes off the outside of the toe or the heel now.
Hello darkness, my old friend...Just an update. Colorado sits alone dead last in a completely ****ty PAC 12 South.
where is carson wells?...everytime i see him he makes a tackle then we dont see him for another quarter
I have never liked MM as a coach and I can't say much for his assistants, but I think the players did a pretty good job last night. 3 best receivers out, all kickers out, starting safety out.
We have so-so 1st line talent and our backups struggle. the coaches just don't cut it. I thought all the QB planned runs hurt Montez too.
what kills me, is that the college football culture is such that a mediocre coach like MM has a $9 mill buyout. why? if he can't cut it, he shouldn't be rewarded that way
Buyout his $3M per year for 3 years -- if MM doesn't get another coaching job which offsets that number.Buyout is $10 million
He says the ****ing obvious? Woot!
He never really takes ownership and it is always something a little bit different.
Our OL got dominated? Thanks? Our corners are really bad? Thanks?

We will fire assistants and hear a great speech from MM and we will be pumped for 2019 !!!!Buyout his $3M per year for 3 years -- if MM doesn't get another coaching job which offsets that number.
We could at least count on Hawkins and Embree beating Leach.
