Bowl Games (other than ours) and associated silliness 2024 Plus the Playoffs

Lance Barber Comedy GIF by CBS

Jeanty is going to be a giant bruise after this game is over.

His linemen are getting run over and the Penn State defenders smell blood.

Good chance Jeanty breaks off a big one but only because the defenders are so wired up about stopping him that they might lose assignment discipline.

Won't matter. Unless something strange happens this one is over.

I heard Alfred Williams in interview (maybe on the 30 for 30) say, retrospect, looking back years later the buffs weren't "big game ready" for the Orange bowl after the 89 season. Norte Dame had been in big games.

I think i'm seeing that in the playoffs. I saw Indiana play a couple times this year and the QB looked very sharp, but at the start of the playoff game he looked like crap.

I didn't watch SMU this year but in the playoff their QB looked totally overwhelmed early in the playoffs game.

I saw Boise move the ball pretty well on that first drive but the kicker totally shanked it. They barely got by Wyoming - but nobody was paying attention but now everyone is watching.

All this happed against teams that had been in big games before where a lot of college footbal fans eye were on them.

I think there is something to the i big game experience.

Pathetic, how did these guys beat the lammies?
Actually didn't play the Sheep.

They did have "impressive" wins though against Nevada 28-21, and mighty Wyoming 17-13.

The Sheep who were one game behind them in the standing had a game against a playoff team this year, barely losing to Texas 52-0 demonstrating the high level of play in the Mountain Worst Conference.

They had to put in their non-fumble back on a crucial 3rd and 1.

All the talk has been about AJ's yards after contact. I'm not seeing any of that tonight, which makes me think the fact that he's been playing against inferior athletes most of his career should come into play.

I will say that he's an impressive runner in that he his the hole harder than any college back I've seen all year and he runs hard.

There is a lot to having big game experience and confidence,

There is more to having superior talent.

Boise will get some points but as the game wears on if PSU doesn't dominate then Franklin deserves to be fired.

I’m trying to find a picture

Cheer leader dance squad they showed right before the touchdown??

He is a very good back, better than some on this site give him credit for.

Doesn't matter how good you are if you are getting hit by multiple defenders before you reach the LOS.

He has already had a number of runs where yards after contact have turned a 5 yard loss into a 2 yard loss.
