Bowl projections

Pate jerking off every 2 and even 3 loss SEC teams as mandatory CFP participants is AAF.
I think his take is fair. Especially on Texas.

They're getting four, but it won't affect us or the league because Bring 'em Young finally choked.

And I'm rooting for Ohio State to house Indiana.

@patebuff are you going to defend your honor?

Can someone break down the bowl tie ins? Isn’t the Alamo Bowl obligated to take the former PAC-12 record which would be us if we win next week? And they get first dibs on selection iirc

So we seem pretty set on that bowl game, right?

Over the 2024 and 2025 seasons, each of the Pac-12’s bowl partners will continue its agreed upon selection process among current and former Pac-12 football teams. Dates for five of the bowl games have previously been announced. The 2024 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl, which will take place at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, Calif., will announce its date at a later time.

They can pass on 2 loss Wazzu for 3 loss CU.

I'm hoping we wind up in the Holiday Bowl.

Isn't the Alamo Bowl supposed to be the Pac 12 #2 vs the Big 12 #2 (basically the losers of the conference championship games)?

So in this case, if ASU goes to the Big 12 CG and loses, wouldn't they represent the Pac 12 in the Alamo Bowl? Or are we just assuming that the Alamo Bowl will choose CU because of the ratings?

Holiday bowl says pac12 vs acc
The Texas bowl ? matches up XII vs sec
Liberty Bowl XII vs sec

For the 2024 and 2025 seasons, the 10 former Pac 12 programs will all play in the Pac 12 bowl tie-in games, which also includes Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA

Oregon - 11-0 - CFP bound so no "bowl tie in"
ASU - 9-2 - Arizona this week - Probably 10-2
CU - 8-3 - Okie State this week - Probably 9-3
WSU - 8-3 - Wyoming this week - Probably 9-3
USC - 6-5 - ND this week - Probably 6-6
UW - 6-5 - Oregon this week - Probably 6-6
Cal - 6-5 - SMU this week - Probably 6-6

Oregon State - 5-6... They play Boise State this weekend and will probably fall to 5-7 and out of bowl eligibility

Utah, Arizona, UCLA and Stanford already eliminated from bowl eligibility.

Pac-12 SELECTIONS ORDER

College Football Playoff Semifinal: If Selected

New Year’s Six vs. New Year’s Six [Pac-12 Champion goes here if not in the College Football Playoff]

Alamo Bowl vs. Big 12
Holiday Bowl vs. ACC
Las Vegas Bowl vs. SEC
Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl vs. ACC
LA Bowl vs. Mountain West
Independence Bowl vs. Big 12

So the NY6 bowls are now part of the CFP, which Oregon and potentially ASU/CU will be part of, so then it goes to the Alamo Bowl which will be either ASU or CU if neither of them win the Big 12 and then the Holiday Bowl would get whichever one is left over.
