Bowl projections

What does that mean? How do you do that? Why would an NFL team do Prime a favor if they really wanted Shedeur as their quarterback?
It's a question of leverage. Most players coming into the NFL have historically not had it, and they play where they are told to play. The exceptions? Eli Manning had leverage. John Elway had leverage.

More and more, the top QBs are going to have leverage given how much they can make in college. They can afford to play chicken with a team for whom they don't want to play. Shedeur will have more leverage than most given his family's wealth on top of what he's earned in college plus the fact that he has an entire media empire backing him. Also unlike most positions, great QBs can play well into their late thirties now. Missing a season doesn't hurt their career earning power like it would for a position that has far fewer expected seasons like RB, DL, etc. Yeah, they'll leave some money on the table, but it's much closer to the margins given that they can still make good money doing commercials and podcasts while they wait it out. There's real risk and downside for a team drafting a QB who says he doesn't want to play for you that just wasn't there 10 or more years ago.

I know CU has to win out, but if they do and Boise State stays on top of CU because of inertia in the rankings, I'm going to be pretty pissed off.

Boise State's best "win" is probably their 3 point loss to Oregon.

Outside of that, it's either their win at UNLV or their home win vs. Washington State. Sagarin has its flaws, but as of right now, it has UNLV as the 50th best team, and Washington State as the 59th best team.

I know that CU hasn't played the world's most difficult schedule, but it's been miles tougher than BSU's. Sagarin would rate NDSU, Baylor, UCF, Texas Tech and Utah as a better win than either UNLV or WSU, and Cincinnati would rate as a better win than WSU. If CU wins out, as of right now, BYU and Kansas would also be better than those two wins.

On the flip side, CU has played two teams worse than 50th in the Sagarin rankings (Arizona, at 68th, and CSU, at 83rd). Besides the three BSU opponents that I mentioned (Oregon, WSU, and UNLV), BSU has played one opponent in the top 100 Sagarin rankings- Georgia Southern, at 93rd.
CU should have shown up for the first half against ****braska or played some defense on the last KSU drive.

NFL teams don’t want to spend a high first round draft choice on a guy who will refuse to play for them. Until a team calls a player’s bluff and is ok with wasting their pick, some high profile players will have some leverage

On the flip side, what is the player's leverage? Is someone really going to forego millions of dollars and potentially significantly more down the road just because he doesn't want to play for a given franchise?

How is win out not 100%, or at least 99%? Even if Army beats ND and wins the AAC I don't see how'd they jump us

There is a Scenario where a 2 loss CU team wins the Big 12 without beating a single ranked team this year, while an undefeated Army program wins the AAC while beating a top 10 Notre Dame team.

We are the highest ranked 2-loss team in the nation, if you don’t count the SEC. Every single 2-loss SEC team is ranked ahead of us. Their self perpetuating propaganda machine circle jerk is incredible.

wonder how much of that is because of CP or just timing.

Notre Dame would have to drop below CU with a loss. Go look at their schedule. They beat A&M week 1 and outside that they haven't played anyone overly good.

But if Army jumped us, and we didn't jump Boise, 6th best conf. Champ isn't guaranteed a spot.

All chalk, except Army beats ND, Clemson beats SC, and A&M beats Texas, leaves us sweating on the bubble. Say Bama over A&M in CCG, Miami over SMU, tOSU over Oregon.

Oregon, tOSU, Penn St, Bama, Miami are 100% in

Boise, Indiana, A&M, Georgia 99% in

3 spots left, let's say Army does jump us, down to 2 spots for:

11-2 SMU, Colorado 10-2 Ole Miss, Clemson, Tennessee, Texas

SEC uses every ounce of influence to try to get Texas and Ole Miss those spots.

Of course, this will all be moot within 8-12 hours.

I'm not sure Notre Dame should even be ahead of Boise as of now. Boise looks to have equally quality wins and their loss is to number 1 Oregon.

A&M is far better than any Boise win and Ga.Tech, Louisville, Virginia, and Navy are all in the ballpark or better than the best wins Boise has (Wazzu and UNLV)
You are right. I had down that Boise gave SMU there only loss. Now re-looking at it. Boise doesn't have that Top 15 win.
